- Graham· October 22nd, 2025Starting with the negative- *The tour showed it was going to Croatia and Turda in Romania however, we did not go to these places which was disappointing. *Most of the hotels were satisfactory except for the Ibis Styles in Budapest City South that obviously don’t change their sheets between guests as I had blood in my bed. And the Ibis Styles Timisoara where my room wasn’t ready after reception checked me in and I had house keeping and someone else on the phone questioning who I was and what I’m doing in the room. *the tour guide’s English wasn’t the best and he was quite gruff and rude at times and not approachable. Positives- *The locations we did go to were a great selection and a good taste of each country. *We visited all the old towns which are the most interesting parts of the cities and after a brief tour in each area, we had ample time to set off and explore for ourselves. *A great way to get a good taste of the Balkans in a short amount of time. It is difficult to do such a trip in the same amount of time via public transportation. To do the same thing, you would need to drive. *with a few tweaks, this would be a great tour.
