Itinerary
- Day 1
Colombo to Kandy
You'll arrive at the airport and get driven to Kandy, which is about 115km away through some really nice scenery. On the way, you'll stop at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage where you can see the orphaned elephants and have the option to feed them. The Spice Garden comes next, then you'll head to Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden which has over 4,000 different plant species scattered across the grounds. After checking into your hotel, you'll have time to settle in and rest up for the days ahead.

Kandy
Following breakfast, you're heading back to Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden for a more detailed look around. Then you'll visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and browse through the gem shop if you're interested. There's time to walk around Kandy Lake and catch some nice viewpoints of the city. Later in the evening, you'll watch the Kandyan Dance performance, which is a major cultural show in the area, and then check out the Kandy Temple Museum before planning what's next on your agenda.

Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast you're heading to Nuwara Eliya, traveling through mountains with waterfalls and tea plantations along the way. Romboda Falls is a stop during the drive. Once you arrive, you'll tour tea factories to learn how Ceylon tea gets produced, and there's a strawberry farm where you can taste fresh ones. The city tour includes the Old Post Office, Victoria Garden, and the local golf course to get a feel for what locals call 'Little England.'

Nuwara Eliya
You'll visit Hakgala Botanical Garden after breakfast, which is Sri Lanka's second largest garden with lots of roses and tree ferns. During the city tour there's a pony ride if you want to try it. You can relax in the cool climate and see waterfalls. There's an option to visit a tea factory, or you can head out early to Horton Plains and Baker's Falls, stopping at Ambewela New Zealand farm and a strawberry farm on the way. Lake Gregory and Seetha Amman Temple round out the day.

Nuwara Eliya to Bentota
You're leaving the mountains and heading down to Bentota after breakfast, traveling through tea plantations and passing waterfalls. In Kithulgala, there's a white water rafting option on the Kelani River if you're interested, plus you can have a safe swim after. Once you reach Bentota, you'll explore the area and visit Galapatha Viharaya temple and the Portuguese fort remains at Parangi Kotuwa. Water sports, a Madu river safari, a moonstone mine, or a turtle farm can all be added if you want more activities.

Bentota
This day is all about relaxing on the beach after breakfast. You can sunbathe on the sand, and if you're in the mood for activity there's surfing, diving, or boat trips to see coral reefs available. As evening comes around, take walks along the beach and get some fresh sea air. There's no travel scheduled, so you can move at your own pace.

Bentota to Colombo
The drive back to Colombo takes about 3 hours on the express highway. You'll head to Colombo Bandaranaike Airport based on your flight time. That wraps up the tour.
