- Menachem· September 25th, 2025Victoria Falls was great but only because I purchased an extra visit to the Devil's pool and to a cruise on the zambezi. TourRadar provided nothing but tent lodging. It was a safari only for 3 days when we did game drives and saw the animals. Majority of time were very long drives on very bad dirt roads with horrendous traffic jams. I still enjoyed this unique and demanding experience which I was able to handle even at my age of 86.Show more

Generally speaking, January, February and June to October are the best times to go on safari in Africa. This is the dry season, so animals tend to come out into more open spaces in search of water, making them easier to spot. However, you will be able to spot animals all year round and you will enjoy fewer crowds if you travel outside peak season.
