- BGBenjamin· March 25th, 2025Excellent tour. Well planned itinerary, showcasing many spectacular places within Western/Central Bhutan and our 'Pilot' (Sibring) and Co-Pilot (Lobzang) were both brilliant, kind and went above and beyond to make our trip wonderful and memorable. Thanks guys for making it as good as you did.Show moreTrip date: March 2025

They truly made the entire experience in your glorious country a magnificent one. We will never forget our time in Bhutan. It is a land of true beauty and both Tashee and Edoo helped us to understand and appreciate that.Show moreTrip date: January 2025
- CMcara· December 15th, 2024We were able to customize a trip so it included all the elements we liked--visits to very interesting historical and cultural sites along with hiking almost every day and a 3-day overnight hiking experience. Acorn planners were very receptive to out interests and designed the trip accordingly and it was fantastic!Show moreTrip date: October 2024
- KHKurt· December 11th, 2024One of the best trips I have ever been on. Normally I prefer to explore places by myself, but exploring Bhutan with a guide and driver just felt perfect. Bhutan Acorn Tours arranges everything for you (visa, flights,...), so you just have to sit back and enjoy the adventure. The trip itself is filled with delicious food, stunning architecture, rewarding hikes, breathtaking views,... I also couldn't ask for a better guide and driver. It almost felt like a riad trip with friends. Bhutan really has a lot to offer and Bhutan Acorn Tours is delivering it in the best way.Show moreTrip date: October 2024
- GNGiang· November 18th, 2024The tour is wonderfully designed in term of schedule. The activities were very well organized with alternative attractions and experiences. We had chance to try food at local restaurants which was very impressive, especially the last dinner at an heritage ancient house of 400 years-old in Paro. We loved the beef soup there! Besides, we would like to express our compliments to the tour guide Nidup and driver Tashi who had brought wonderful experience to our trip in Bhutan. They are very hospitable, enthusiastic and helpful. During our visit, they not only organized very good logistics but also provided us with customized experience. They went beyond their duty to help us with money changing and suitcase incident. We wish you more success with your business and having wonderful collaboration like Nidup and Tashi.Show moreTrip date: October 2024
- NNNOEL· October 27th, 2024Excellent tour in Bhutan. First time I have booked with a local tour company (rather than G Adventures or Intrepid) and it was a great experience. Communication through the tour radar app was great and the Bhutan Acorn organised everything for me. I was the only person on the tour and they treated me great, even requesting the hotels to cook different Bhutanese food dishes that I could try. My guide Tashi was amazing, very enthusiastic, spiritual and all round nice guy. My driver Sangay was also very good. Bhutan Acorn made my stay in Bhutan amazing and I loved every minute of it. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone going to Bhutan.Show moreTrip date: September 2024
- IAIciar· October 21st, 2024The tour gives a very complete idea of Bhutan’s amazing landscape (lovely hikes), stunning culture (incredible temples) and wonderful people. We will cherish the memory of this journey , both our guide, Yeshi and our driver Zayeapa have been “treasure revealers”: We have discovered this beautiful country and it’s gentle, warm, welcoming people thanks to them. We could not have dreamt of better ambassadors than them to introduce us to Bhutan’s amazing culture. They went out of their way to organize it perfectly, always seemingly effortlessly, but with great professionalism, interesting information, friendliness, conversations and smiles all along the way. They really earned a place in our hearts.Show moreTrip date: October 2024
- HLHeather· September 9th, 2024Beautiful peaceful country. We went at the end of August, the end of the wet season, so it was not too wet, and not too busy. I booked a tour that involved 4 hikes, all of which I really loved, especially the Tiger's Nest. I'm not very fit, but we went slowly. The guide and driver were both great, with excellent English. Highly recommend a visit to this beautiful country.Show moreTrip date: August 2024
- CHColin· August 24th, 2024This was a trip of a lifetime and man was it absolutely wonderful in all the ways. We felt like VIP's the entire time. Especially our tour guide Tashi, who was so knowledgeable and kind throughout the whole trip. I never felt rushed, I always felt excited to see where we were going and what we were doing. Tashi knew so much and I can honestly say I he went above and beyond in each aspect of the trip. Highly recommended for people who are active and want to see one of the most beautiful places in the world. Request Tashi!Show moreTrip date: August 2024

Asked on May 2nd, 2025Can we apply for Visa when arrived in airport? Also, what shall we do with big back packs for 2 of us? Can we leave them in a our accomodation till we return?
- Bhutan Acorn Tours & TravelOperator•Written May 2025
It is not possible to get visa on arrival as it has to be arranged prior to your arrival in Bhutan. To make things easier, we process visas for all our guests. To process the visa in advance, the Visa fee of US$40.00 per person and the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) of US$100.00 per person per night must be paid in advance. The SDF portion must be paid to us locally in USD cash upon your arrival in Bhutan. Regarding the luggage storage, you can safely store them at the hotel in Paro where you will stay your last 2 nights. Our guide will help you with this.

Asked on February 2nd, 2025I am interested in "Explore the Hidden Kingdom of Bhutan" tour for later this year (either October or November of 2025). Could you please confirm only those 4 departure dates are available for booking? If I book this tour for certain departure date and then I have to change the departure date (still either October or November) later on, will that be possible? Will there be any penalty for changing departure date after booking? How late can I change to a different departure date?
- Bhutan Acorn Tours & TravelOperator•Written February 2025
