Colombo
You'll touch down at Colombo airport where someone from the hotel meets you and handles the transfer. Spend the rest of your first day settling in at whatever pace feels right - maybe grab something to eat, walk around the property, or just rest after your flight.

Colombo to Sigiriya
An early pickup from your hotel gets you to Dambulla Rock Temple, a 2,000-year-old UNESCO site with five caves holding Buddha images and painted walls that go back centuries. From there you'll head to Polonnaruwa to see the ruins of this 1,000-year-old city - royal palace, temples, and old irrigation systems are still standing. Later you travel to Sigiriya where you'll have dinner and sleep for the night.

- Day 3
Sigiriya to Kandy
After breakfast you tackle the Sigiriya fortress, a fifth-century rock formation that shoots up nearly 200 metres above the rainforest. You'll walk through what's left of King Kashyapa's citadel, pass through the lion's belly carved into the rock, and get views from the top. Then it's on to Kandy with a spice garden stop along the way. Lunch happens in Kandy, followed by an afternoon city tour that includes the Temple of the Tooth Relic. You'll catch a cultural show and have dinner before evening winds down.

Kandy to Colombo
Starting with breakfast at the hotel, you'll check out an arts and crafts centre, gem museum, and tea factory in Giragama. After lunch in Pinnawala where you can take things slow, you head back toward Colombo for a late evening drop-off at the airport or your departure point.
