Itinerary
- Day 1
Kampala
After breakfast and pickup, head to Mengo trading centre to check out Bulange, where Buganda Parliament has traditionally met in a building with colonial-era architecture. You'll see Lubiri Palace, the former residence of King Mwanga, and then stop by Rubaga Catholic Cathedral and Kabaka's Lake. The day covers the kingdom's history through these sites before dinner and settling in for the night.

- Day 2
Kampala
Start the day at Kasubi Royal Tombs, a UNESCO World Heritage Site about 5km southwest of Kampala where four Kings of Buganda are buried inside a dome-shaped grass-thatched house. You'll see the reed and ring work that represents the 52 clans of Baganda. From there, head to Wamala Tombs in Nansana. In the evening, the Ndere troupe performs cultural music and dancing showcasing various tribal dances from across Uganda.

Kampala
Start with tea before visiting the National Museum in Kamwokya, the oldest and one of the best museums in East Africa, featuring ethnographic collections and musical instruments from throughout the continent showing traditional Ugandan lifestyles. Later, travel east of Kampala to Ssezibwa Falls, a site that Kings Kabaka Mwanga and Mutesa favored, with beautiful waters surrounded by fringing trees and good birdlife. Local legend ties the falls to the birth of twins and cultural traditions.

Mbarara
Walk through Katereke Prison Ditch, built by Kabaka Kalema in the late 1880s as a place of imprisonment with tragic history connected to Kalema's reign. After lunch, travel to Mbarara town, the historical center of the Ankole kingdom that was founded in the early 1500s. You'll learn about the Bahima clan's pastoral traditions and the distinctive long-horned Ankole cattle that are central to the region's heritage.

Departure
