- Christie· September 24th, 2022Definitely be prepared for lots of stairs. The views were absolutely amazing and were worth every trip. The tour guide Matteo was amazing and I absolutely loved having a local guide this tour. Be sure to bring lots of water. The food was also amazing where we stayed. The family was absolutely amazing and allowed you to have the real Italian family experience. They were super kind and accommodating to everyone’s needs.Show moreExplore! commented on this reviewGlad you had a nice trip. Thanks for your feedback. The Explore TeamTrip date: September 2022
- Megan· May 11th, 2022This was my first group trip and it will be hard to beat. Our guide made the trip SO entertaining and SO effortless. As someone who plans things for a living, it was so nice to be able to sit back and relax fully. Antongiulio was THE BEST guide! He was friendly, endlessly patient with all of our questions, and had a passion for the location and hiking that will stay with me for the rest of my life. There can be no one better to give a tour of Capri and southern Italy than someone who's lived there his whole life. His love of nature, hiking, and encouraging others was inspirational. I cannot recommend this tour and Antongiulio enough! Trip of a LIFETIME!Show moreExplore! commented on this reviewHi Megan, thank you for taking the time to give us a review from your trip to Italy. Traveler•Written July 2022Do I need a proof of vaccination?
- Explore!Operator•Written July 2022
We do recommend that you check the state departments travel advice for Italy travel. This will advise you of eligibility to entry requirements into Italy. Although as a company it is no longer a requirement of booking with us to have proof of Vaccination. It may be a requirement for Italy. The State department website for travel will advise you of this.

Asked on July 2nd, 2022What happens if we need to reschedule the tour 10-60 days before the tour start?
- Explore!Operator•Written July 2022
If cancelling or amending the date then we would check with our local agent if there were any non-recoverable costs. If there were not then you can amend with no fees, if there were some charges then these would be applied. This is all up to 10 days prior to departure, if amending within 10 days of departure then it would be 100% charges.

Asked on March 31st, 2022I'd love to know more details about the accommodation in each location. Are there different tour guides in each location or is there one leader who stays with the group throughout the entire trip?
- Explore!Operator•Written April 2022
On our trips, we have a tour leader throughout that normally stays in the same hotel as the group. Sometimes we have a local guide with city tours etc.

Traveler•Written February 2022We would like more details on options if we choose NOT to do the Walk of the Gods.
- Explore!Operator•Written February 2022
The costs for meals may vary depending upon location, type of restaurant and number of courses eaten and so the prices given are an average guide. Local restaurants located off the beaten track may be less expensive, whereas an upmarket restaurant located in the centre of a major city may charge more. As a rough guideline we recommend around £10-£15 per person per day for lunches and £20-25 per person per day for dinners.
- Explore!Operator•Written February 2022
If you arrive into Naples Airport any time on day 1 then your arrival transfer is included. If you depart Naples Airport any time on day 8 then your departure transfer is included. If you extend your time then the transfers are not included but we can quote you for private transfers.

For anyone who doesn't wish to hike today you can be dropped off in front of Hotel Eden Roc (on Via Marconi), just outside Positano. From here it's 10 minutes' walk along the shopping street of Via Cristoforo Colombo to town centre. You can spend time on the beach, browsing the quaint shops or unwinding with a glass of wine while admiring the beautiful coastal views before meeting up with the rest of the group at the end of the walk.

Traveler•Written February 2022Is the Walk of the Gods mostly downhill? Is the 5 hours total spread out over most of the day?
- Explore!Operator•Written February 2022
The Walk of the Gods is mostly downhill. The walk will include drink/snack stops etc and breaks along the route and will take the majority of the day. The ferry to Amalfi at the end of the day is at around 17.00.

Asked on January 17th, 2022how strenuous is the walking part of tour?
- Explore!Operator•Written January 2022
The Walk of the Gods to Positano is a 5 hour moderate hike. You can take a CHARTER BUS through to Positano or depending on groups ability it can be shortened to avoid the final steep descent (public bus from Montepertuso). Hike not suited for people who suffer from Vertigo. Those not wishing to hike can remain at the hotel or after transferring group to Bomerano, driver continues to Positano to drop off non-walkers in front of Hotel Eden Roc (on Via Marconi), just outside Positano.
