Itinerary
- Day 1
London to Paris
You'll meet your Travel Director in London, then drive down to the White Cliffs of Dover for some views before taking the ferry across the English Channel to Calais. From there, you'll pass through the Somme battlefields on the drive to Paris. After you arrive, there's dinner planned and an orientation drive so you can see the main sights around the city (75°F/24°C).

Paris
A Local Specialist takes you walking through Paris starting on the Champs-Élysées and heading toward the Arc de Triomphe. You'll see Notre Dame Cathedral and spend time in the Latin Quarter wandering the streets. By afternoon you've got leisure time to do your own thing, whether that's climbing to a rooftop terrace for views or sitting at a café and people-watching.

Paris to Lucerne
You'll drive through the vineyard regions of Auxerrois and Burgundy, passing the 15th-century Châteauneuf fortress and farmland as you head toward Switzerland. Later in the day you reach Lucerne where you'll check out the famous wooden Chapel Bridge with its 17th-century paintings and the Lion Monument carved from rock (59°F/15°C).

Lucerne to Venice
The drive takes you through the Alps via the St. Gotthard tunnel and into Italy. After that you'll pass through the scenic northern Italian lakes region with its mountain and water views. You arrive in Venice this afternoon and have time to settle in (68°F/20°C).

Venice
You'll board a private motor launch heading to St. Mark's Square, stopping to see the Bridge of Sighs and the Doge's Palace from the water. At one of Venice's oldest glassblowing workshops you'll watch artisans at work and see how they craft glass. After that, you can wander through Venice's quiet streets and small squares, or spend time shopping before heading to Florence (70°F/21°C).
