Yoga Retreat Reviews
- Yoga, Ganga & Tajmahal - Golden Triangle with Haridwar & Rishikesh !!
All of my guides were super knowledgeable, curteous, patient, and professional. My accommodations were good! I had the best driver in all of India. I was lucky to experience both highlights and tourist attractions as well as go off the beaten path to local spots! They looked after me very well!
- Golden Triangle with Rishikesh (Yoga)
The tour was orginized very well. Communication with Yolo India Tours was easy. Driver was waiting for us at the airport even though our passport control takes 2 hours and we had no chance to contact him. He drives well and safe. Hotels were nice and clean, well equiped. Tour guides were sympatic and skilled, but they took us to suvenir ship with words just come to see how we are making traditionally: hand printing on cloth, engraving in marble,...some people may like it. Be prepared for higher cost for sighseeing after covid - 200 Euro in total. I noticed two weeks before trip the change of itinerary. They add extra Fatehpur Sikiri and Haridwar. As we had privite tour (no more people for that dates) they keep asking you what you want to see and what not. Not exact itinerary was met - some sighseeing closed, some too crowdy (3 hours waiting) or not covinient to see due indian festival (Vrindavan). About meal - breakfast in hotels were good, lunch on the way where driver stpped

No words to say the whole about tour because the opportunity to embark on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to India, where I was able to visit the famous Golden Triangle along with the holy cities of Vrindavan, Haridwar, and Rishikesh. It was truly a spiritual and cultural journey that left a lasting impression on me. The Golden Triangle, consisting of Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur, is a popular tourist circuit in India. It is known for its rich history, magnificent architecture, and vibrant culture. Our tour started in Delhi, where we explored the bustling streets, visited iconic landmarks such as the Red Fort and Jama Masjid, and tasted delicious street food. Next, we headed to Agra to witness the majestic Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The beauty and grandeur of this monument left me speechless. We also visited the Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri, both of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. From Agra, we traveled to the pink city of Jaipur, where we were greeted by the stunning Amer Fort. We also visited the City Palace, Hawa Mahal, and Jantar Mantar, all of which reflected the rich culture and heritage of Rajasthan. The next part of our journey took us to the holy city of Vrindavan, known for its association with Lord Krishna. The atmosphere here was serene and spiritual, with many temples and ashrams to visit. We participated in the evening aarti at the famous Banke Bihari temple and took a dip in the holy Yamuna river. Haridwar and Rishikesh, situated in the foothills of the Himalayas, were the highlights of our trip. These cities are considered to be the gateway to the spiritual land of Uttarakhand. We attended the Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri ghat in Haridwar, which was a mesmerizing experience. In Rishikesh, we visited the famous Beatles Ashram, took a dip in the sacred Ganges river, and indulged in some adventure activities like river rafting and bungee jumping. The entire trip was well-organized, and our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The accommodations were comfortable and provided an authentic Indian experience. The food was also delicious, and we got to taste a variety of local dishes. Overall, the Golden Triangle with Vrindavan, Haridwar, and Rishikesh was an unforgettable experience. It was a perfect blend of history, culture, and spirituality. I highly recommend this trip to anyone looking to explore the diverse and beautiful country of India. It truly is a journey of a lifetime.
What our customers ask about Yoga Tours & Retreats
When is the best time to book a yoga retreat tour?
Book 3-6 months ahead, especially for popular spots like India's Rishikesh or European summer retreats. If you're heading to Rishikesh, plan your trip between October and March when it's a comfortable 68-77°F (20-25°C) with little rain. For yoga sailing in Croatia, aim for May through September when temperatures hit 75-85°F (24-29°C). This way, you'll get your pick of accommodations and dates.
What are the best destinations for a yoga retreat?
Each place offers something special. In Rishikesh, India, you can practice yoga in authentic ashrams along the Ganges - it's actually called the "World Capital of Yoga." Ubud in Bali puts you right in the peaceful jungle, perfect for focusing on your practice. If you want beach vibes with your yoga, head to Koh Samui in Thailand. Looking for something different? Try yoga while sailing around Greece's Ionian Islands - you'll practice with amazing Mediterranean views. One of our travelers put it well: "India has this incredible spiritual energy, while Bali just radiates peace."
What types of yoga experiences can I expect on these wellness tours?
You'll find everything from morning beach yoga in Koh Samui to spiritual sessions by the Ganges in Rishikesh. Most classes run about 75-90 minutes and work for all skill levels. In Rishikesh, you'll dive into traditional Hatha yoga and meditation at local ashrams. Over in Ubud, Bali, they mix yoga with other wellness activities. A recent traveler at Samui Natural Detox Resort told us they loved the "varied and excellent program" that included morning yoga, breathing exercises, meditation, and fitness - all in a beautiful tropical setting.
What fitness level is required for a yoga tour?
Don't worry if you're new to yoga - these tours welcome everyone from beginners to experts. Take the Ghorepani Poon Hill Yoga Trek for example: they adjust the morning and evening yoga sessions to match everyone's abilities, and the hiking stays at manageable altitudes around 7,200 feet in the Annapurna area. Places like Hotel Bliss Surfer in Kuta and Pertiwi Resort in Ubud are perfect for gentle practice. As one traveler noted: "The wellness tour category is wonderful and really makes trips more healing and less frustration or headache."
How many yoga sessions are typically included per day?
You'll usually get 2-3 sessions each day. On the Croatian Yoga Sailing tour, you practice morning and evening in beautiful outdoor spots. During the Nepal Ghorepani trek, you get hour-long sessions twice daily. In Bali, they mix it up with traditional morning practices and fun variations like anti-gravity yoga. One happy traveler told us: "Yoga almost everyday was great - my favorites were the aerial yoga and traditional morning practices."
What's the typical daily schedule on a yoga tour?
Your day usually starts early with morning yoga. In Koh Samui, for example, you begin with cardio at 7:00 AM, eat breakfast at 9:30 AM, then do yoga and meditation at 10:30 AM. You'll get 2-3 yoga sessions throughout the day, plus time for local activities, meditation, and relaxation. Everything wraps up with an evening session by 6:00 PM, followed by dinner. After that, you can join optional activities or just unwind.
