- Day 1
Kigali to Akagera National Park
Your driver-guide picks you up and you'll head toward Akagera National Park through Kigali. Once you arrive at the lodge and get settled in, there's a sunset boat ride on Lake Ihema before dinner. This gives you a nice first look at the landscape and wildlife before your overnight stay.

Landmarks/POIs Akagera National Park Lake Ihema - Day 2
Akagera National Park
After breakfast you head out on a full game drive to explore Akagera's wildlife and the park's different landscapes. You'll break for lunch back at the lodge, then in the afternoon there's a boat cruise on Lake Ihema at either 3pm or 5pm depending on what works for you. After that you'll return for dinner and spend the night.

Akagera National Park to Kigali
You start with breakfast and then begin a full-day game drive that goes from the southern section all the way to the north of Akagera National Park. The drive lasts between 8 to 12 hours as you see elephants, buffalo, various antelope species, and lots of birds throughout the reserve. Once finished you head back to Kigali for your overnight stay.
