Vientiane to Vang Vieng
A private vehicle takes you to Vang Vieng, a small town surrounded by limestone karsts and the Song River. You'll do a guided hike to a viewpoint that overlooks the valley below. Later that evening, head out with your group to celebrate the start of your trip and get more comfortable with everyone.

Vang Vieng
This day is yours to explore Vang Vieng however you like. Rent a bicycle and check out caves in the area, or trek through the surrounding countryside. If you want more action, you can book the adrenaline bundle in advance to kayak through Tham None cave and visit the Blue Lagoon.

Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang
Take the bullet train to Luang Prabang, a colorful ancient city with rich history. Once you arrive, walk around in the afternoon to get oriented and see the layout. After that, trek up Mount Phousi, passing monks' quarters and Buddha's footprint cave until you reach Wat Phousi temple at the summit. Watch the sunset from the top over Luang Prabang and the Mekong, then spend the evening at a street food crawl through town.

Drive to Mae Malai village and start your hilltribe trek through forests and rugged terrain. Hilltribe Trek Day 2
Trek for 2 to 3 hours before stopping for lunch. From there, visit a Karen village to watch how traditional blankets and scarves are woven. Continue trekking for a few more hours, and you might have the chance to stop at Mae Tang River to learn local fishing techniques or build a bamboo raft. End the day at another village for the night.

Hilltribe Villages to Chiang Mai

Bangkok
