Itinerary
- Day 1
Ho Chi Minh City
You'll land in Ho Chi Minh City where your driver meets you at the airport. From there it's straight to your hotel to check in and recover from the flight. Rest up since you've got a full itinerary ahead.
- Day 2
Cu Chi Tunnels
Early morning drive out to the Cu Chi Tunnels, about an hour and a half from the city. You'll walk through the extensive tunnel network that played such a significant role during the war, and your guide walks through the local history. Try traditional manioc food while you're there, and if you're interested there's a shooting range on-site. You'll head back to your hotel by evening.

Cai Be
Travel to Cai Be to see the river system up close. You'll bike out to Tan Phong Island to check out local handicrafts, including handmade banana leaf hammocks made right there. Take a rowboat through the small canals after that, then in the evening participate in a cooking demonstration. Dinner happens at the restaurant, and afterward you can relax at the Riverside Bar.

Cai Be Floating Markets
Start with the Cao Dai Oratories in Cai Be. Tourist boats take you to the floating rice market in An Cu commune where you'll learn how locals live and work. You'll also stop at the ancient village of Dong Hoa Hiep commune and the Cai Be floating market before heading back to Ho Chi Minh City.

Ho Chi Minh City to Hoi An
Breakfast at your hotel gets the morning started. Spend the rest of the day exploring Ho Chi Minh City at your own pace, browsing around wherever interests you. Later you'll transfer to the airport and fly to Hoi An, where your driver meets you and takes you to your hotel.

Hoi An Countryside and Tra Que Village
You'll cycle through the countryside with a local guide heading to Tra Que organic vegetable village. Have some lemon basil tea and walk through the vegetable gardens, trying your hand at traditional farming methods. A foot massage comes next, then you'll learn to cook Hoi An special pancakes. Lunch features local foods, and afterward you can relax in a hammock before cycling back to town.

Hoi An to Hanoi
After breakfast at your hotel, you'll head to the airport. The flight takes you to Hanoi, and your driver will be waiting to escort you to your hotel for the night.

Hanoi to Pu Luong
A 4 hour drive follows the Ho Chi Minh Trails with a break partway through. You'll enter Pu Luong Nature Reserve through a mountain pass with valley views that stretch out in all directions. Lunch happens at your accommodation, then you explore the retreat itself. Walk past the rice fields to see water wheels and learn about irrigation systems. Bamboo raft time on the Cham River comes next, and dinner waits at the eco garden.

Pu Luong Trekking
After breakfast you'll descend into a valley with rice terraces cascading down the hillside. Trek through paths lined with vegetation leading to a village at the base of a tall mountain. The route winds through farmland, villages, and wild fields. You'll stop for a simple picnic lunch at a scenic spot, then have time to cool off at the nearby river before returning to the Pu Luong resort.

Pu Luong to Hanoi
Eat breakfast at the Pu Luong Eco Garden, then drive back to Hanoi. The route offers nice views of the landscape, and you'll arrive in Hanoi in time to settle in for the night.

Hanoi to Halong Bay
Check out of your day use hotel and have breakfast before transferring to Halong Bay. You'll drive through the Red River Delta with its green rice paddies. Board a traditional junk for a full day and night cruise around the limestone islets. Kayaking on the water, exploring plant and animal life, and eating fresh seafood dinner fill the day. Shore excursions and overnight accommodations on the boat complete the experience.

Halong Bay to Hanoi
Wake early and take in the morning atmosphere on the water. Tai Chi lessons happen on the sundeck after breakfast. You'll explore a cave with stalagmites and stalactites, then the boat heads back to harbor. Transfer to Hanoi arriving around 4:30 pm, leaving the rest of the day free to wander around.

Departure from Hanoi
You have the day free to spend however you like. When it's time, transfer to Noi Bai International Airport for your departure. Tour services end here.
