Every single guide on this tour was very, very good. Alessia for Capri and the archeology professor who guided us through Pompeii were truly outstanding! The hotel in Sorrento was good but not great. Very nice pool and staff but difficult to find one’s way around without better signage. Meals were ok to good. I wish I had known the likelihood of seeing the blue grotto was fairly slim due to sea height variability before I went. Then I might not have been as disappointed as I was that it was closed. Still the boat ride on Capri was good and Alessia did her best to show us small samples of water that was like the water in the grotto.

Too many guides, inconsistent information. Sometimes no meeting places or meet times were given. Before the tour started I was told by the company they could only drop off at the train station in Rome. Unfortunately others in our group were dropped off at their hotel. (Much safer), but they would not do that for us. Communication was definitely sub-par. We ended up having to wait at the Rome train station for our next ride for an hour and a half. At drop of omega staff informed us to watch out for pick pocketers and scans as they drove away and left us. Expected to tip every tour guide. There was too many for that. Felt chaotic at best. The best part was the grand at Vesuvio hotel. Very nice. Too much of the tour as a whole was disappointing and it ended on a very bad note.

We need at least 15 double rooms with separate beds and breakfast in the cozy hotel in Sorrento from May 12 to 18, 2025. We are considering visiting Pompeii, the island of Capri, and Amalfi on May 14, 15, and 16.

We plan to dedicate 3 days to excursions. On the first day we would like to visit Pompeii, and on the second and third days, we would like to explore the island of Capri and the Amalfi Coast. We will need a transfer from the hotel for these excursions, with a return trip to the hotel in the evening. Additionally, the excursions should be conducted in English.

    • Omega ToursOperatorWritten November 2024

For hotels in Sorrento, we usually work with Hotel Michelangelo and Grand Hotel Vesuvio, both of which can accommodate groups of your size and offer double rooms with breakfast. We can arrange: Pompeii Tour: A guided visit in English, including round-trip transfers from your hotel. Island of Capri: A full-day tour with a guide, including transfers to and from the ferry. Amalfi Coast Exploration: A full-day guided tour in English, including transportation along the beautiful coast.

For the "La Dolce Vita Experience" tour, the accommodations are as follows: Sorrento: Hotel Michelangelo or a comparable 4-star hotel. Regarding dining arrangements, while some meals are included in the tour package, participation in group dining is entirely optional. If you prefer to explore local restaurants independently, you're welcome to do so.

Do I get my own room or I need to share with someone? Can someone join the trip for 2 days only with me and pay only for these 2 days while I book the 5 days? The Capri day- I don't want to swim in the water. Is it an option?

    • Omega ToursOperatorWritten June 2024

If you are traveling solo, you will need to book the single occupancy rate. If someone joins just for 2 days, they will still need to pay the package price. Swimming in Capri is optional, so you do not need to participate if you prefer not to. As for Positano, I recommend touring the town instead of staying overnight.

    • Omega ToursOperatorWritten May 2024

We can arrange to pick you up from your accommodation in Rome. We recommend traveling with one checked baggage and one carry-on. The less you bring to the south, the better, as the southern part of Italy has luggage restrictions.
