- WWendy· March 26th, 2024This week in Jordan was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience! From exhilarating 4WD rides through the Wadi Rum desert and sleeping beneath the stars to marveling at the ancient wonders of Petra and floating effortlessly on the Dead Sea, every moment was filled with awe-inspiring beauty. Jordan's landscape and culture captivate at every turn. A special acknowledgment goes to Mohammad, our exceptional tour guide, whose impeccable organization and extensive knowledge enhanced our journey. His entertaining dinner anecdotes were an enjoyable bonus to an already unforgettable adventure!Show moreTrip date: March 2024

- EEduardo· January 9th, 2024Our tour of Jordan was fantastic, thanks to our driver and guide, Khaled. He skillfully adjusted the itinerary to include special locations, making our trip memorable. The hotels recommended by Vacations to go —Petra Moon Hotel, The Captains Camp, and RamadaHotel—were very good. Khaled's flexibility, promptness, and reliability added to the overall positive experience. The guides and jeep operators were kind and helpful, making our journey truly special.Show moreVacations to go travel commented on this reviewThrilled to hear your Jordan tour was fantastic! - Jane· July 27th, 2023We had an incredible tour in July 2023. We had booked a small group tour but ended up with a private tour for our family of 4 since people travel less to Jordan in summer. It was definitely hot but our driver/guide was cognizant of that and always provided water for us as well as minimizing walking in the middle of the day and making sure our van was well cooled. We were picked up from the airport and whisked through security easily. Our vehicle was clean and comfortble - we had a mini van for our family of 4. Our driver, Sayel, was just incredible. He has been doing this job for years and you can tell he is very knowledgeable. He seems to know everyone at every stop, and sometimes was able to help us skip lines. In places where we had a local guide, he helped us find the best guide, and they were all excellent. He also took us to some great food places - my recommendation is to stay away from the touristy buffets and go to local places. We did find the food quite expensive though. Our driver was also able to book us a bunch of extra excursions including a balloon ride in Wadi Rum, which I highly recommend. Hotels on the trip ranged from pretty good to just ok. Some of the hotels clearly haven't remodeled since the 80s, especially our hotel in Petra. Some of the bedding and furnishings were ancient. I want to say that everything in Jordan felt extremely safe, and we were treated very well the entire time. I wouldn't hesitate to visit again.Show moreVacations to go travel commented on this reviewThank you for your incredible review! We're thrilled you enjoyed your personalized tour in Jordan with Sayel as your driver/guide. Your feedback is valuable, and we look forward to welcoming you back for another amazing journey. - Stephanie· March 23rd, 2023Jordan is an extraordinary country - the history, culture and landscape make it worth the trip almost no matter what. That said, I booked to travel with a group and only found out (when I asked; info was not volunteered) right beforehand that I would be traveling alone. This was a surprise and not my choice but there was nothing to do at that point. I had one wonderful driver - Mohamed - throughout the trip and that was great. The hotels were good/ fine, not great. There were guides on only two half days and both were engaged by the historical site (e.g. my guide worked for the entity operating the park at Petra), they were not private guides or guides employed by the tour company. Long story short, know your expectations, read the fine print, and ask questions long in advance. Know what's important to you: Is the hotel in a central location? Are there restaurants within walking distance? How much time is spent with and without the guide? What are the amenities in the hotels? How many people will you be traveling with or will they operate the trip if it's only one or two people? Nothing was misstated to me or concealed, I just didn't know to ask and had some challenges as a result. The company was fine in their communication with me though when I asked four days in advance to be moved to a more central location for my final night I was told that wasn't possible.Show moreVacations to go travel commented on this reviewThank you for sharing your Jordan trip with us! - Georganne· December 17th, 2022Overall it was very good - perhaps because I was the only person on the trip and so was able to change the agenda a bit. There was a bit of confusion as I had booked two nights before the start of tour at the Hotel (Torino) and when it came to the 3rd night (official start of the Tour) the hotel couldn't find the booking. I had booked through Vacations to Go on the Tour Radar site but it turned out the operating company was Jordan Attractions. This was quite a nuisance as I had to wait to meet the hotel manager w(I had to ring the emergency no to find this out as no-one had told me.) I am very glad I could arrange to stay at the Dead Sea rather than return to Amman as I would not have wanted either the extra travel or to stay another night at the Torino. My guide was excellent and looked after me very well. I knew exactly what I wanted from the trip and the itinerary matched my needs. The company did its best to accommodate me re extra hotel nights as I wanted to spend a few extra days in Aqaba however they wanted an extra $1000 for these bookings. When I questioned this they said I could book them myself if I could get cheaper - so I did, and for $350. I found that a bit strange. I would suggest to anyone to research exactly what they want from a tour quite thoroughly.Show moreTrip date: November 2022
- MDMatthias· August 18th, 2022The 8 days Jordan Jewels was a very good and memorable experience. However, we have a few critics regarding the information that was provided before the trip. While booking with Tour Radar, we didn't end up in the same hotels as mentioned on our reservation. Nevertheless, the hotels were very good. Moreover, we were not told that we had to pay for most of the entrance fees (Petra, Jerash, Mt. Nebo, Wadi Rum, ...), we rather thought that these costs were included in the price of the reservation. This broke our budget a bit. In addition, the itinerary could have been adapted slightly to save time on site. Indeed, instead of going back to Amman after the visit of the Dead Sea, we could have stayed one night and continued south the next day instead of making a return trip. That doesn't mean we didn't have a great time, on the contrary we made a memorable experience in Jordan.Show moreVacations to go travel commented on this reviewHi Matthias, Thank you for your fair comments. - Ada· March 19th, 2020Tour Radar is responsive to all my questions and helped me with additional nights hotel etc. The local tour provider they set me up with however, was not quite as comprehensive as I was expecting. It was a much smaller group than I expected, that’s not a problem, but the local provider didn’t provide me with much information about the sites I was visiting or letting me know what to expect with each day. I had to rely on the itinerary info on the site, we had guides for some sites, others left to go in on our own.Show moreVacations to go travel commented on this reviewThank you for sharing your feedback on your recent tour experience.
