Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Cairo
Your trip begins when you touch down at Cairo airport. A Ramasside Tours representative will meet you there and drive you to your hotel in an air-conditioned car. It's a straightforward transfer to get you settled in for the night.
- Day 2
Cairo
After breakfast, head to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities where you'll walk through 5,000 years of art including the famous Tutankhamen collection. From there, you'll go to the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos, then stop for a close-up look at the Sphinx. If you're interested, there's an optional Sound and Light show at the Pyramids in the evening.

Cairo to Alexandria to Luxor
You'll travel to Alexandria by air-conditioned car and spend the day checking out the Library of Alexandria and its museums, the Lighthouse site and Qaitbey Castle, royal gardens and palaces, Abbo Elabbas Mosque, and the Church of St. Mark. The drive along the Cornish takes you past Stanley Bridge, and you'll explore old downtown Alexandria before heading back to Cairo. Later that evening, you'll board a sleeper train to Luxor with dinner served onboard.

Luxor East Bank
Breakfast comes to you on the train before you arrive in Luxor. Once there, you'll visit the Karnak Temples complex dedicated to the God Amon and his family, then walk through Luxor Temple built during the 18th Dynasty and completed by Ramesses II. You'll see the Obelisk of Ramses II before transferring to your hotel to settle in.

Luxor West Bank
After breakfast, you'll cross the Nile to explore the West Bank and see the Valley of the Kings with tombs from various dynasties. The Temple of Deir El Bahari comes next, along with the Colossi of Memnon, two massive sitting statues of Amenophis III. You'll also see the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. There's an optional hot air balloon flight if you want a peaceful aerial view of the valley.

Luxor to Aswan to Cairo
You'll head to Aswan by train after breakfast and visit the High Dam, which was completed in 1964 and offers views across Lake Nasser. From there, you'll sail to Agilkia Island to check out the Temple of Isis and other monuments originally from Philae Island. Once back on the mainland, you'll board a sleeping train to Cairo with dinner served onboard.

You'll have breakfast on the train and arrive in Cairo, where you'll transfer to your hotel. The day is free for you to relax or pursue optional activities like the Memphis and Sakkara Tour, or visit the Castle of Salah El Dien, Mohamed Aly Mosque, and Old Cairo if you prefer.
