Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Cairo
You'll land at Cairo airport where a Ramasside tours representative meets you with a sign. An air-conditioned car takes you to your hotel, and you'll have the rest of the day to settle in and rest after your travel.
- Day 2
Cairo Pyramids & Egyptian Museum
After breakfast, your guide picks you up to see the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus along with the Great Sphinx and Valley Temple. You get a free camel ride around the site, then head to the Egyptian Museum where the Tutankhamen collection and thousands of artifacts from 5,000 years of Egyptian history are on display. There's a photo stop at the Nile before returning to your hotel.

Saqqara, Memphis & Dahshur
Your guide takes you south after breakfast to check out the Step Pyramids of Zoser, the world's oldest major stone structure from around 2630 BC. Next is Memphis, Egypt's first capital, where you'll see the Statue of Ramses II. On the way back, you stop at the Red Pyramid and Bent Pyramid at Dahshur, then return to your hotel.

Cairo Citadel & Islamic Cairo
After breakfast, your guide picks you up to visit Salah El Din Citadel, which was built in 1183 AD on the Moqattam hills to protect Cairo from Crusaders. From there you head to the Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque, designed by a Turkish architect from Istanbul. Later you explore Old Cairo, walking through the Hanging Church, Ben Ezra Synagogue, Church of St. Barbara, and Church of Abu Serga before returning to your hotel.

Alexandria Day Tour
Your guide picks you up for a full day trip to Alexandria. You start at the Library of Alexandria, which holds 8 million books and has open court museums inside. Next is the site of the ancient Lighthouse (one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World), now occupied by Qaitbey Castle. You'll also visit King Farouk's royal gardens and the palaces of Haramlek and Salamlek, plus Abbo Elabbas Mosque. There's time to see the Unknown Soldier memorial and Alexander the Great statue, then you drive along the 30 km Cornish waterfront, cross the Stanley Bridge, and explore old downtown Alexandria before heading back to Cairo.

Fayoum Oasis & Wadi Al Rian
After breakfast you head to Fayoum Oasis to explore Quaran Lake, one of the world's oldest lakes and independent from the sea. You take foot tours along the ancient lake shores, walking through temple ruins at Karanis. Later there's a boat tour of Wadi Al Rian lake and the surrounding landscape for a relaxing break. You return to Cairo for the night.
