- Sheri· June 6th, 2025The entire Crete trip was beyond my and my husband's expectations from Crete airport pickup to Crete airport departure! We would have liked to explore a couple of more days, but we would have needed a day to rest. Argri and Dionysis were excellent tour guides and helped make our experiences memorable. It was a perfect mix of ancient sites, history, city walks, some shopping, GREAT food, boat rides, some beautiful spots to take a small break and enjoy the scenery, beaches, museums...and making great memories.Show more
- Adria· May 27th, 2025Oh boy what a trip!!Sooo memorable. It was such great value for money! Accommodation was very good & varied.Scenery was gorgeous!! The ancient sites & relics tremendous! - Ioannis our guide was a walking encyclopedia of Ancient Greece-always feeding us with extra information-we learned soon much-Thank You. Cristos our driver kept us safe on the roads-yes at times very windy and often very narrow in the towns. He made sure we savoured the Greek delicacies thru the various quaint towns-so yum!! The size of the group is kept small and flexible. We had fabulous travelling companions along with Ioannis & Cristos made us all feel like Whanau(family) Kiwis NZShow more

Asked on January 14th, 2023Explain the hiking difficulty scale, A-C.
- Epos Travel & ToursOperator•Written January 2023
It is about an escalating level of difficulty. For this tour travelers should be comfortable participating in physically-demanding activities for extended periods of time.

Traveler•Written September 2022I see you rate your hikes A, A+, B, B++, etc. Can you explain this rating a bit more please. I don't plan to book until later this year or early next. If I book and there isn't a min. of 5 people, do I get my deposit back? I actually see the prices have been converted into C$ which is helpful to me.
- Epos Travel & ToursOperator•Written September 2022
The rating is the following: The + symbol is added to the degree of difficulty (eg 2+, 3+ etc.) when there are climbing passages, exposed edges, gullies, or snow/ice slopes of 40° and above. Participating in such routes requires very good physical condition and familiarity with the mountainous terrain. Knowledge of basic belaying by technical means is also required for winter climbs. Category A: Easy hiking climbs lasting up to 6 hours, in which even beginners can participate. Category B: 6 to 8 hour hikes in low mountains, with or without snow. Beginners with good physical condition and similar equipment can also participate. Category C: Mountaineering winter ascents lasting more than 8 hours, with the use of ice axes - crampons required, or multi-day summer crossings with long daily marches. Category D: Difficult long winter ascents. Climbing knowledge and full winter mountain gear required. You do not need to book now, you can do this later this year when we have more inquiries. It is usually easier to guarantee the departure when we have a group of people planning to do this trip together.
