Itinerary
- Day 1
Las Vegas to Death Valley
Morning pickup from your Las Vegas hotel takes you across the Mojave Desert toward Death Valley National Park. Once you arrive, you'll see the colorful Badlands right away, then head to Zabriske Point for views across Death Valley and the Panamint Mountains. After checking the visitor center, you'll walk the Golden Canyon and Gower Gulch loop with lunch on a hilltop overlooking the valley. By evening, dinner is cooked over the camp fire under the stars.

Wildrose Peak
After an early breakfast, you drive deep into the Panamint Mountains to tackle Wildrose Peak, a challenging 9000-foot hike. The route starts at the historic Charcoal Kilns and climbs through juniper and pinyon forest on the east slopes. From the summit, you can see Death Valley, Panamint Valley, and snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada Range stretching out in all directions.

Mesquite Sand Dunes and Darwin Falls
This is a lighter day compared to yesterday's big climb. You head west past the Devil's Cornfield to Mesquite Sand Dunes where sweeping mountain views surround the area. From there, the drive continues west to Darwin Falls, a rare spring-fed waterfall that seems out of place in one of the world's driest regions. An easy two-mile hike brings you to this quiet spot before you return to Furnace Creek for dinner.

Amargosa Range Canyons and Return to Las Vegas
On your final Death Valley day, you choose a hike through one of several Amargosa Range canyons: Desolation Canyon, Sidewinder Canyon, Virgin Spring Wash, or Kaleidoscope Canyon. Lunch happens on the trail or at Dante's View if weather cooperates, which sits as the park's best overlook spot. After reflecting on the desert experience, the return shuttle takes you back to Las Vegas.
