Most of the hotels we stayed in were acceptable, although Hotel Park in Ljubljana wasn't that great. Breakfast was chaotic due to the poor layout of the food, the reception staff were not very friendly and the shower in the room on our second stay was mouldy. The rooms smelled musty too. The itinerary was a good balance between active and relaxed.Show more

Wonderful accommodations, great pace with ample free time which allowed my husband to go fly fishing for a day in Bohinli. Lots of options including hiking, biking, boat tours and just walking. Slovenia is a beautiful country and the people are super friendly and helpful. The food options are great and the prices are super reasonable. Explore!Operator•Written May 2025This trip is one of our discovery trips so more or less a sightseeing trip. So if there are any walks there are not hard. We offer a Walking in Slovenia hiking trip on the same dates that is rated leisurely to moderate. Walks on 5 days for between 4 to 7.5 hours. The hikes are graded as moderate on 3 days and leisurely on 2 days. The paths can be uneven and are often stony and rocky underfoot, so hiking boots or shoes are essential.
