Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu
You'll land at Tribhuvan International Airport and meet your tour representative, who arranges a private car transfer to your Kathmandu hotel (about 30 minutes depending on traffic). Your guide will fill you in about the trip either during the drive or once you've checked in. Spend the rest of the day settling into your accommodation.
- Day 2
Kathmandu
After breakfast, you're diving into Kathmandu's cultural sites. Start at Kathmandu Durbar Square to see its old palaces, courtyards, and temples. Then head up to Swayambhunath, the Monkey Temple on a hilltop, where you'll get panoramic views across the city. In the afternoon, walk through Pashupatinath Temple on the Bagmati River banks to see Hindu rituals happening, and finish at Boudhanath Stupa, one of Nepal's largest Buddhist sites.

Bhaktapur
Start early after breakfast and drive to Changu Narayan Temple, Nepal's oldest temple and a UNESCO site. Spend time exploring the ancient Hindu temple and its museum to understand the history. From there, it's about 6 kilometres to Bhaktapur, where you'll walk through Durbar Square, Taumadhi Square, Dattatreya Square, and Pottery Square to see centuries-old architecture and temples. You'll head back to Kathmandu for the night.

Kathmandu to Lumbini
You'll leave early in the morning for Lumbini on a 7-hour drive. Once you arrive, head straight to your hotel to check in and get settled for the night.

Lumbini
Today you're exploring Lumbini's sacred sites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and birthplace of Lord Buddha. Visit Kapilavastu where Buddha was born and grew up. Then check out Lumbini's 62 archaeological sites including Kudan, Ramagram Stupa, and Sagarhawa, each connected to Buddha's life and teachings. Return to your hotel in Lumbini for the night.

Lumbini to Chitwan
After breakfast, head to Chitwan on a 4-hour drive through scenic landscapes. Check into your hotel, then in the evening you'll experience a Tharu Cultural performance and visit the riverside to catch the sunset. If you're interested, join in the Tharu stick dance. Overnight at your Chitwan hotel.

Landmarks/POIs Chitwan National Park - Day 7
Chitwan
Start early with a jungle safari into Chitwan National Park (a UNESCO Natural Heritage Site) to spot wildlife and exotic birds. You'll get close to elephants and help bathe them. Later, visit BishHajarTaal lake for a quieter time in the natural surroundings. Return to your Chitwan hotel in the evening.

Chitwan to Kathmandu
You're heading back to Kathmandu today on a 5-hour drive covering about 97 kilometres. Take time during the drive to think back on your wildlife experiences. Check in at your Kathmandu hotel and relax for the night.
