Itinerary
- Day 1
Cusco
A driver picks you up at Cusco airport and takes you to your hotel in the Historic Center. Once you've settled in, you'll join a 1 pm city tour that covers the Cusco Cathedral, the Incan Temple of the Sun (Coricancha), and then moves on to the Fortress of Sacsayhuaman and the sacred site of Qenco. The tour wraps up at Tambo Machay where there's time to browse local crafts and pick up alpaca wool sweaters.

Sacred Valley to Aguas Calientes
After breakfast, you'll head into a full-day Sacred Valley tour. First stop is Awanacancha living museum to see how Andean weaving works (this part is available for private service only), then you'll walk through the crafts market in Pisaq. From there, you tour the Pisaq Archeological Center to check out the terraces and irrigation systems. Lunch happens at a premier restaurant in Urubamba, and then you visit Ollantaytambo fortress. Later in the afternoon, you take a train to Aguas Calientes and check into your hotel there.

Machu Picchu
You'll have breakfast early at your hotel, then catch a bus that takes about 25 minutes up the hill to reach Machu Picchu. A guide takes you around for 3 hours, showing you the House of the Guardian, Temple of the Sun, Temple of the High Priest, Sacred Plaza, and the Great Carved Rock. After that you get some free time to rest and take photos. By afternoon you're back in Aguas Calientes for lunch, then you train back to Ollantaytambo and drive back to your Cusco hotel.

Departure from Cusco
Your driver will take you to Cusco's Velazco Astete Airport with enough time to check in for your flight. You'll head home with memories from your time in Peru.
