Regarding the tour guide, Alex, it will not be enough to describe how wonderful he was throughout the tour. Alex is a knowledgeable guide; he explained the Mayan ruins exceptionally well. - Charmayne· November 17th, 2022Most of the trip was good Francisco and his wife could have not been any better, then with my trip climbing the volcano Francisco was the BEST. Alex his associate seemed most of the time disinterested. One day while with him he wanted to stop to eat at a Mc Donalds, I preferred not eat there versus something more from El Salvador or a street vendor. while driving he ate two bags of french fries and then pulled over to go out of the car and eat his sandwich while I sat in the car and waited. While climbing the volcano I was not sure he knew where he was going, and I did ask him which way to go while he was on his phone and walking with hesitation. Then I was watching where I was stepping and hit the ground, as he stopped again. He had no idea on what to do, another tourist offered to help Alex brushed him off stating he was "my driver". Asked on October 18th, 2025Is this trip suitable for a 15 year old boy? Are there any options to add a 1-2 day tour in addition to this 6-day tour? Or is there a city destination that we can explore ourselves for1-2 days after the tour ends?

I suggest to change the visit cerro verde to climb santa ana volcano, which is one of the most popular adventures in the country. You can stay 2 nights at el tunco or zonte village, where some of the most important surf tournaments take place and you can enjoy the beach and perhaps surf lesson, visit the fisherman warf, visit tamanique cascades.

Could you share the proposal and cost for your suggestions at el tunco or zonte village? Currently I am thinking of starting the tour maybe on 12/24 but am not sure yet. Will shops be open or closed on 12/31 and 1/1?
