- MKMurali· May 11th, 2025El Salvador is a beautiful country with a lot for tourists to visit and experience, and it is now a safe country to travel. From picking me up from the airport to dropping me back and the tours in between were excellent. Oscar was an excellent driver and guide on both days and I was able to see the El Boqueron volcano, Mayan ruins and the important places on the city center. Local people were very welcoming and helpful with directions when they realized I did not speak Spanish. The hotel, Best Western Plus Terraza, was okay, and it was within walking distance to a shopping mall. The hotel could replace old carpet and improve the shower. The hotel's breakfast and staff were good. Be prepared to deal with the traffic jam on the main roads as it seemed congested during rush hours. A couple of things I would suggest to Inter Tours to consider: (1) Please include in the tour itinerary how many hours approximately each day's tours would be so travelers can plan their evenings accordingly. (2) When booking the tour, I was told both transfers from airport to hotel and back would be included, but the hotel to airport was not included in the itinerary even though I had given the flight departure time. I had to contact Inter Tours about hotel to airport transfer, and they had to check and confirm, and I was picked up for the airport transfer on time. I highly recommend Inter Tours and visiting El Salvador.Show moreInter Tours commented on this reviewThank your for your commentsTrip date: April 2025
- KLKaren· June 14th, 2024the tour itself was a pretty good introduction to San Salvador and some of the local hot spots. I added a 2 day Copan tour that I'm not sure would be worth all the travel just for that site, if you've seen other Mayan ruins (it's neat, but depending on how well-traveled you are might not justify the lengthy travel days). Not overly a fan of the hotels and their location in san salvador - not much in walking distance and my upgraded hotel seemed way more interested in hosting the various events than being a hotel, to the detriment of the hotel guests. Might be a culture thing but wasn't a great experience. good guide. good mix of things to see and culture, history.Show moreTrip date: May 2024

Asked on September 4th, 2024Could you advise us whether the safety situation in the country has affected your adventures? Do you have any advice for Sarah in regards to the safety in the country?
- Inter ToursOperator•Written September 2024
El Salvador has changed a lot on the past 8 years from ranking among dangerous destinations to being one of the top destinations in the continent and listed on the 2023 TOP PIC. The numbers show a high increase of travelers over 2 Million last year, more than all the other Central America Destinations and very close to the well-known Costa Rica. I invite you to check travel forums such as FODOR, TRIP ADVISOR, and read the comments of the actual travelers.

Asked on June 19th, 2024How big is the group? Could you please share pictures of the previous tours? And how many hours are we spending on the bus each day?
- Inter ToursOperator•Written June 2024
Groups are 1 to 6 people. We guarantee the departure once is confirmed, no matter if only one client is on that departure.
