Chengdu
Your private guide and driver will be waiting when you land at Chengdu Airport. They'll take you to your hotel in downtown Chengdu, and after you get settled, the rest of the day is open for you to wander around and get a feel for the city on your own.

- Day 2
Chengdu
Start your morning at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding where you'll see pandas at different life stages hanging around the bamboo groves. After lunch, head into local life by visiting a traditional vegetable market first. Then spend the afternoon at teahouses along the Xiaojiahe River, trying tea and Gaiwan coffee while you watch locals playing Mahjong.

- Day 3
Chengdu to Leshan to Mt. Emei
Your driver takes you by private car to Leshan, where you'll board a boat to see the Giant Buddha from the water. This massive stone statue sits 233 feet tall and was carved right into a cliff where three rivers meet. From there, you'll head to Mt. Emei and check in at your 5-star mountain hotel for the night.

- Day 4
Mt. Emei to Chengdu
You'll spend the day exploring Mt. Emei, one of China's Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains. A cable car gets you partway up, then you'll walk about 10 to 20 minutes to reach the ancient Wannian Temple, which holds important Buddhist cultural relics. After that, you'll see the Baoguo Temple, the largest temple on the mountain with beautiful pavilions and gardens throughout. Later, you'll return to Chengdu and check into your hotel.

Chengdu
This morning you'll visit the Jinsha Site Museum to see archaeological finds and learn about the ancient Shu Civilization from the 12th to 7th century BC. In the afternoon, check out the Wide and Narrow Alley district with its traditional courtyard houses that now house restaurants, pubs, teahouses, and shops. Your guide and driver will bring you to the airport afterwards for your departure.
