Beware of add-on fees. After asking multiple times about additional fees, I was greeted at the Kathmandhu airport with a surprise $20 tourist visa fee (above the Chinese embassy fee) and TibetVista tried to force me to pay a $150 single-supplement one week before my tour (after booking 2 months in advance). Would have been forced to pay it if it wasn't for TourRadar's intervention. Several of the hotels in Tibet were also in desperate need of cleaning and updates. Great trip, but I would be wary of working with TibetVista.

First of all i want to say that the guide and the driver were both very good, under difficult circumstances at the start of the trip. However the Customer services manager came to see us yesterday and felt that $82 was an acceptable compensation due to the landslide. I however disagree : * We lost 1 and a half days at the border * Missed out on the Cave and Kepu village trek * No hot water first 2 days guesthouse (With Yangkhil hotel being next door and costing $6 a night) * Missed out on several activities in the programme due to catching up on time amd long drives.
