Asia Overland Tour Reviews
- Arabia Group Overland Tour
The moment I heard about Madventure offering an Arabia Overland tour I was hooked. An exploratory 64 day trip to one of my favorite regions on earth...yes please! I was so thrilled to hear that Madventure was actually going to attempt overland travel to 8 different countries in the Middle East - other companies I had booked travel with were canceling left and right so it was amazing to hear this trip was a definite "go". From the time I landed in Dubai until I flew out of Cairo, my heart was happy and my soul felt fulfilled. Since the lockdown back in March of 2020, I had been dreaming of hitting the road again and this trip delivered on so many levels. My traveling companions were a truck full of mostly like minded individuals who were also going stir crazy to get out and explore again. Madventure put together an incredible itinerary that covered most of the area's highlights. Truly an incredible feat considering we still had covid requirements to deal with (PCR testing to enter each country and covid tracker apps that were mandatory in several of the countries). I made friends for life, got to experience the legendary hospitality and kindness that the Middle East is famous for, bush camped in some epic spots, and took thousands of photos. Before the trip, I read other Madventure reviews and yes, it does seem like everyone raves about traveling with Will and Karen. So I was immediately suspicious. I mean, how can everyone enjoy traveling with these guys and why so many glowing reviews? It's because they deserve it! I have done 3 other overland trips with other companies (Trans Africa, Istanbul to Singapore and Trans South America) and Madventure has won me over. Why? Because Will and Karen care. Will is all about getting out there and seeing the world so if you have a suggestion of something to see or do and he can possibly squeeze it into the itinerary, he will. Karen's forte was keeping us well fed and happy and boy did she excel in her job. I've never eaten as well as I did on this trip - lots of tasty food whipped up by rotating cook groups with Karen's oversight and assistance. As Oscar Wilde says, "Live with no excuses and travel with no regrets". Thanks Madventure for the trip of a lifetime! I cannot wait to travel with you again.
- Bishkek To Ashgabat (31 Days)
The tour of a lifetime. So worth it I can’t even explain. I’ve been a lot of places, but this was a whole experience.
- Highlights of Oman
This tour gives a good overview of the diversity of landscape in Oman, including hiking in a canyon and a gorge, to 4-wheeling over sand dunes, to the city highlights in Muscat. Oman is a beautiful safe country to visit with locals who are friendly and helpful.
