Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Kenai to Mountain Zone

    You'll check in at the Kenai flight office at 7am, then board a 45-minute floatplane flight to reach the mountain zone. After landing, you'll set up camp and spend time getting oriented to the area. From there, it's out for hiking and exploring through the day, with lunch either in the tundra or back at base camp. You'll return to camp for dinner, and then you can spend the evening on another hike or playing mountain games if you're up for it.

  2. Day 2

    Mountain Zone

    Coffee comes at 6:15am, followed by breakfast in the gathering tent from 7 to 8am. After breakfast, you'll head out for the day's hiking and exploring, which includes alpine ridge hiking, glacier hiking, and peak bagging. Lunch gets served in the tundra or at base camp depending on where you are. Back at camp by evening, you'll have dinner and then the option to do an after-dinner hike or join in on mountain games.

  3. Day 3

    Mountain Zone

    Another mountain day starts with coffee at 6:15am and breakfast in the gathering tent from 7 to 8am. You'll spend the day hiking and exploring with alpine ridge hiking, glacier hiking, and peak bagging on the agenda. Lunch is provided in the tundra or at base camp. Later, you'll head back to camp for dinner, and the evening is open for hiking or mountain games if you want more activity.

    You'll have coffee at 6:15am and breakfast in the gathering tent from 7 to 8am. After breakfast, spend the morning hiking and exploring before breaking down camp and packing all your gear. Then you'll head to the floatplane for your 2pm flight back to the mainland.

    • For any tour departing before February 12th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 12th, 2026, a minimum payment of $2,500 is required to confirm your booking with Kenai Backcountry Adventures. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
    • Some departure dates and prices may vary and Kenai Backcountry Adventures will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
