Itinerary
- Day 1
Puerto Maldonado
You'll arrive in Puerto Maldonado and take a motorized boat up the Madre de Dios River to reach your jungle lodge, which takes about 25 minutes. Once you get settled in, there's a buffet lunch featuring local ingredients. Afterward, you'll walk the Concepcion trails where your guide explains how the forest works and what you're seeing around you. When evening comes, you'll head out on a motorized canoe to look for nocturnal animals, and the sky out here is really dark so you'll see tons of stars before heading back for dinner.

- Day 2
Puerto Maldonado
Your alarm goes off early at 5:30 am for breakfast, then you're heading to Lake Sandoval in Tambopata National Reserve. This trek is where you'll see giant otters, macaws, howler monkeys, and other wildlife. You'll paddle around the lake in a traditional canoe and grab lunch back at the lodge afterward. In the afternoon, you're doing the Inkaterra Canopy Walkway, which involves walking on suspension bridges 28 meters up in the trees. From up there, you can spot toucans, hummingbirds, and sloths. Later that evening, there's another jungle outing to listen to nighttime sounds and watch how animals behave after dark before returning for dinner.

Puerto Maldonado
You'll have breakfast one last time at the lodge, then take a canoe back to Puerto Maldonado. A transfer picks you up from there and takes you to the airport so you can catch your departure flight.
