This was my first experience with G Adventures. Many in our group had been on several G Adventures trips. I plan to be able to say that myself in the future. The trip was way above my expectations and our guide was excellent. Thanks to Elena and G Adventures for an incredible journey.

    Asked on July 9th, 2025

Is it possible to combine this tour (Budapest to Istanbul) with the classic Istanbul mini adventure? The dates seem to fit.

    Tour Details
    • G AdventuresOperatorWritten July 2025

Yes absolutely! You can create two separate bookings to book both tours, let us know if you need help matching the dates together! Be sure to let us know which month you are interested in travelling in!

  • B

    Brett

    Asked on June 28th, 2025

Is there a chance I can join on August 25th in the morning? or what time would we need to meet on August 24th?

    Tour Details
    • G AdventuresOperatorWritten June 2025

Since the first day of the tour is an arrival day, you can technically arrive anytime! The welcome meeting is usually around 6pm, however, it's ok if you had to miss it. Since you will already be in the city, as long as you can make it to your starting hotel on the 24th at night, it should be ok! Usually for those who arrive late and do not join the welcome meeting, the CEO leave information for them at the hotel reception desk in regards to the next day, like what time they are leaving, where to meet, etc.

Unfortunately we don't give specific advise on visa and entry requirements, as these can change. You may require visas still, ie the E-Visa for Turkey, so it is important to check that.

    • G AdventuresOperatorWritten February 2025

We will need to check with our operations team regarding this to be sure the tour will be suitable for you and your husband. We will let you know as soon as we have an update regarding this.

    • G AdventuresOperatorWritten February 2025

Accommodation: Residence Central Anapolis – Ground-floor rooms available, suitable for wheelchair users. Hotel Sighisoara – No elevator; access is only via stairs. Hotel Tarnava – First-floor rooms available, but access requires navigating three steps from the lobby. Bella Geza Winery – No elevator; rooms require stair access. Hotel Puldin Coop – Has an elevator and a wheelchair available, but no rooms specifically designed for disabled guests. Ibis Styles Bucharest City Center – Fully accessible with ramps, elevators, and rooms designed for people with disabilities. Hotel Centrum Istanbul – Not wheelchair accessible; entrance has 7-8 steps with no ramp, and elevators are too small for a wheelchair. Private Vehicle A collapsible wheelchair can be accommodated in the private vehicle during travel. Activities While many activities involve city exploration, certain locations may present accessibility challenges: Bran Castle (Day 5) – Located on a rock outcrop with many steps, making access difficult. Veliko Tarnovo (Day 8) – City has numerous stairs and uneven surfaces, posing navigation challenges. Sighisoara – Cobblestone streets may be difficult for a wheelchair. Additionally, the CEO will not be able to assist the pax during activities. The pax's partner will need to provide assistance when necessary, and there may be situations where the pax will need to skip some orientation walks or city tours. Other Transport Train on Day 6 – Generally accessible, but there may still be challenges. Bus on Day 11 – Accessibility depends on the specific station and vehicle used.
