What people love about touring Petra solo
- Red Sea Diving 8 days from Amman
My wife and I were looking to travel to Jordan with our 4 yo son from India, and we came across good reviews for Booking Tours. We reached out to them to suggest and arrange a tour, and we were not disappointed. Booking Tours arranged everything for our tour, starting from Visa on Arrival assistance (there was some confusion about Indians having to carry 1000 USD per head in cash, but we weren't asked) to a great itinerary. We had a private vehicle with an English-speaking driver, Khaled, and our tour plan covered Amman / Ajloun / Jerash / Dead Sea / Petra / Wadi Rum / Aqaba / Mt. Nebo / Madaba / Amman over 8 days. We enjoyed our experience as everything was taken care of. We had great guides arranged at Jerash and Petra, and our driver became more of a friend during the journey who helped us discover culinary delights along the way. They accommodated changes to the plan (we visited the fantastic Royal Automobile museum straight after landing at Amman) and took pains to ensure we were comfortable at the hotels. For those wondering about safety at Jordan, we found the place extremely friendly and safe. Our 4yo enjoyed the trip, clambering up rocks at Wadi Rum, trekking along the Siq at Petra and watching corals in the Neptune Submarine boat. Overall, we'd highly recommend Booking Tours.
- 5 day 4 night Best of Southern Jordan Tour from Aqaba Airport (AQAPT-JHT-002)
We are a family of 5 (kids 14, 13 and 7) and did a Petra/Wadi Rum tour from Aqaba, crossing from the Eilat border. Jordan Horizons Tours was incredible to deal with. Ethical, transparent and fair from the start. Their fees and costs were well set out, they were cost effective (excellent value) and all the commitments were absolutely met. Water was freely available, everything ran to time and staff were professional. Amjad was amazing to deal with, Yousef a terrific driver with a high quality car (with wifi in it!) and their border service was efficient. All the guides, meals and accom were of a high standard. Jordan Horizons Tours also kept communcating via whatsapp and were available and honest throughout. A pleasure to work with and highly recommended.
- 4 day 3 night tour Classic Petra & Wadi Rum Tour from Aqaba Airport (AQAPT-JHT-001)
Excellent planning, everything were being taken cared of and well thought through. It only took us 30 minutes from the moment the plane land, till we reached our hotel(disembark, passport control, baggage, purchase local sim card and transfer to hotel). Abdul Rahman (Albit) a veteran local of aqaba with extensive local knowledge, very friendly, chill and meticulous person. Our guide at Petra (Sami) provided in-depth knowledge of Petra. Thumbs up to transport manager, Abdullah - very helpful and responsive. Great company to tour with and would definitely recommend it. The only small concern we had is, the hotel in Aqaba; Al-qidrah (great location, but really really dirty,(dirty floor, shower, bedding) and doesn't have hot shower.
