What people love about touring Ireland solo
- 8-Day Emerald Explorer Small Group Tour
This trip was EXCELLENT! We saw SO many things, felt like locals, and had a interesting time with the smaller group. Our tour guide, Connor, was so helpful, interesting, talented, and kind. He made the tour special and memorable! Things were well organized!
- 7-Day Ireland to Island Small Group Tour of Ireland
One of the most enjoyable trips and memorable experiences of my life!! I went on this adventure tour after returning to Ireland after more than a decade abroad and wanted to rediscover the country. I would 100% recommend, our tour guide Pat was funny, friendly, extremely attentive to everybody's needs and incredibly knowledgeable of Ireland's history, culture, geology, you name it! The other guests were lovely and we had so much fun all together. One of the highlights was Skellig Michael where we climbed the steps and learnt about how the monks lived hundreds of years ago, but also about how they shot Star Wars :) The transport and accomodation was seamless, and we really enjoyed getting top tips for music in pubs and other craic! Thank you Overland Ireland again!
- Emerald Isle
I have already submitted my survey feedback on the part of the tour that ended in Dublin. I have now finished the ending (to/from Belfast) which was just ok. It was nothing like the non-Belfast tour which was rich and fun because the guide was present. While I appreciated the free days in Belfast, I got nothing on the history of Northern Ireland or Belfast, nothing like what guide Ally Cary did for us which was fantastic. And only breakfast as the provided meal; the hotel was fine but then again nothing on its rich history. Importantly, I was not told that the guide would meet me at the Belfast train station but rather at the hotel so I had to find my own way to the hotel; I managed via cab but for first time travelers to Belfast, that would be unacceptable. Why was I not told that I would be met at the station? She was there to pick up other guests not with Emerald Isle tour. Still a great tour but not a great ending.
