Reviews of 7 day Tours from Amsterdam
- Glimpse of Europe (End Paris)
Kassie was wonderful! Very knowledgeable, accommodating and a joy to be with. She provided so much historical information and was so pleasant all the time. She was very willing to go out of her way to answer questions and help with anything that arose during our trip. I would highly recommend her as a guide!
- European Vistas
Very good experience as you get to see different countries in 8days. You may say its tiring, but its all worth it. With the tour leader and driver both very accommodating and patient, it all went well.
- Amsterdam, Berlin and Prague
Despite not beimg picked up at the airport. Everthing is almost very good. The tour guide, Juan, is very good because he has a lot of patience in answering questions and he is so patient waiting for his passengers to get on the busá. The rour in Pragie is so tiring not because of its time we had to walk but the pacing. The local tour guide walks so fast that sometimes I thought I am lost because I could not see her. I also heard that 3 passengers were left behind and has to take a public transportation to Old Town because they got lost since they could not see where the tour guide is. The tour guide should make sure to see if everybody is with her. The hotel in Amsterdam is very nice! The hotel in Berlin is also nice but the housekeeping didnt throw our garbage when they cleaned the room. The hotel in Prague is nice but the food is not. Overall, I am giving 4 out of 5 star to this tour. Thakk you Tour Radar!
What our customers ask about Best 7 day Tours from Amsterdam
What are the most popular destinations covered on 7-day tours from Amsterdam?
From Amsterdam, you'll typically visit classic Dutch towns like Volendam, Zaanse Schans, and during spring, the colorful Keukenhof Gardens. Many tours continue along the Rhine into Germany, stopping in Cologne, Koblenz, and Heidelberg, before reaching Strasbourg in France and ending in Basel, Switzerland. If you choose a river cruise, you'll focus on the Rhine Valley region. Land tours spend more time in the Netherlands, taking you to Rotterdam, The Hague, and the canal-lined village of Giethoorn, which locals call the Venice of the North.
What type of accommodations can I expect on 7-day tours from Amsterdam?
You'll stay in comfortable 3-4 star hotels, usually close to city centers or with easy access to public transportation. Some popular options include the Westcord Fashion Hotel in Amsterdam, NH Mannheim Viernheim in Germany, and Novotel Paris Belleville in France. As one TourRadar traveler mentioned: "Hotels were lovely, especially the Fletcher Hotel in Arnhem with its peaceful countryside location."
When is the best time to take a 7-day tour from Amsterdam?
April through early May is the busiest season, when temperatures range from 32-50°F (0-10°C) and the famous Keukenhof Gardens are in full bloom. Summer (June-August) brings warmer temperatures of 68-77°F (20-25°C), perfect for bike rides through the countryside. One TourRadar traveler noted: "The tulip fields in April were absolutely breathtaking, but the gardens were quite crowded."
What's the typical pace of these 7-day tours?
You'll find a comfortable balance with 2-3 hour guided city tours in the morning, then free time to explore on your own. For instance, in Prague you'll start with a guided tour of the castle district, then have the afternoon to wander the Old Town Square at your own pace. One TourRadar traveler commented: "The itinerary was well-balanced between organized activities and personal time."
What transportation is used between cities?
You'll travel between cities in comfortable buses with air conditioning and WiFi. Some tours, especially those ending in London, include train trips like the Eurostar from Paris. When you're traveling near the Rhine River between Amsterdam and Cologne, you might take a river cruise to enjoy the scenery.
How much free time is typically available during the tour?
Each day usually includes 3-4 hours of free time after your morning guided activities. In Amsterdam, for example, you can use your free afternoons to visit the Van Gogh Museum or just walk along the canals. As one TourRadar traveler said: "There was enough free time to explore each city at our own pace."
What cultural experiences are included on 7-day tours from Amsterdam?
You'll get to experience local culture through visits to the traditional windmills at Kinderdijk, cheese making in Volendam, and diamond cutting workshops in Amsterdam. In Germany, you can try local wines in the Rhine Valley and visit the impressive Cologne Cathedral. Local guides share stories about the region's traditions, architecture, and history. If you travel during winter, you can visit traditional Christmas markets and learn about holiday customs.
