Reviews of 7 day Sailing Tours
- 4-day Split to Dubrovnik One-way Cruise - Classic Plus above-deck, 18-35s
We were looking for a 4 day sail croatia trip in July and we were stoked to find Go Sail going split to dubrovnik. It was the right amount of time on the boat for us and everything was what we wanted - air-con, ensuite bathroom and fun times!
- 4 Days - Blue Escape from Fethiye to Gocek
The trip offered a beautiful escape to the breathtaking coves around the bay of Fethiye with plenty of opportunities tor swimming. The crew and especially the skipper were super nice and worked hard to make the boat ride safe and enjoyable. The food prepared by the captain’s wife was delicious. The major drawback for me, as a solo traveler, was being placed on a trip as the only solo traveler with one large tour-group of friends traveling together. It mostly felt like being a guest on their private tour and the captain only communicated with them, including scheduling changes. On the last evening a sunset ride was cancelled without warning because as the captain told me “the others don’t want to go anymore.” Overall I felt like a third-party getting a free ride rather than a full-paying customer. (As expected as a woman of color traveling with a group of wealthy white Americans.) There was also little peace and quiet as the group had pretty much nonstop conversations, including in the evenings after I went to bed and tons of convos about planning their upcoming trip to Israel, which was offensive and triggering for me considering I live in Lebanon and have family and friends in Palestine and endured Israei bombings and occupation in Southern Lebanon. (Common sense while traveling in a Muslim country would be to avoid bragging about visiting a country that oppresses a majority Muslim population.) Though that last part is not the company’s fault, it made the trip kind of depressing at times. My recommendation: don’t place solo travelers as the only extra person with a large group of friends and ask people to respect quiet time.

What our customers ask about 7 Day Sailing Tours & Trips
What are some popular destinations covered on 7-day sailing tours in Croatia?
Along Croatia's Dalmatian Coast, you'll sail from Dubrovnik to Split, stopping at some really special places. You can explore Mljet Island National Park, wander through the old town of Korčula, and spend time around the Pakleni Islands. One TourRadar traveler shared: "We had the opportunity to explore secluded bays, go paddleboarding, and visit charming fishing villages like Lumbarda." You'll also stop at Hvar Island's Stari Grad port, where you can try local wines at the UNESCO site Hora Farm. The trip usually includes time in Trogir too - a medieval town with waterfront restaurants along its pretty marina.
What kind of wildlife can I expect to see on a 7-day sailing tour?
What you'll see depends on where you sail, but it's often amazing. In the Galapagos, keep your eyes peeled for blue-footed boobies, marine iguanas, giant tortoises, and Galapagos penguins. If you're sailing the Maldives, you'll get to see colorful coral reefs full of tropical fish, plus manta rays and sea turtles. One TourRadar traveler wrote about their Galapagos trip: "Our guide Omar was extremely knowledgeable about everything in the Galapagos and the Yolita crews were so professional." Some of the best spots to see marine life are snorkeling sites like Devil's Crown and Corona del Diablo.
What are some popular destinations for 7-day sailing tours?
The Galapagos Islands in Ecuador are a big favorite - you'll sail between islands like Santa Cruz, Isabela, and Fernandina on nice yachts. The Maldives is another great choice, where you can cruise through beautiful atolls on traditional dhonis. Many people also love sailing Thailand's Andaman Sea, visiting Phuket and Koh Phi Phi. The Galapagos gets especially good reviews from TourRadar travelers for its wildlife, with one person saying "the Yolita Yacht was fabulous especially for snorkeling, wildlife watching and island visits."
What are the most popular destinations visited on 7-day sailing tours?
The Greek Saronic Islands are really popular - you'll visit places like Aegina, Hydra, and Poros, where you can check out ancient sites like the Temple of Aphaia. Many people choose the Galapagos Islands too, sailing to places like Santa Cruz Island and Fernandina Island to spot unique wildlife. In Thailand, lots of sailors head to the Andaman Sea to see Phang Nga Bay, James Bond Island, and Ko Phi Phi. TourRadar travelers often mention the "crystal clear waters and stunning sunsets" there.
When is the best time to take a 7-day sailing tour in the Mediterranean?
May through September is ideal for Mediterranean sailing, with temperatures between 75-85°F (24-29°C) and calm seas. July and August have the warmest water and steadiest winds, but they're also the busiest and priciest months. June and September are great alternatives - the weather's nice at about 77°F (25°C), there are fewer tourists, and prices are lower. Most tours run between May and September, and Croatian trips are especially popular in July and September.
What meals are provided during a 7-day sailing tour?
You'll usually get breakfast and lunch on board every day, with some dinners either on the boat or at local restaurants in port. Croatia tours typically include "7 breakfasts, 6 lunches and 2 dinners" while in Thailand you'll get "3 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners." The food gets great reviews from TourRadar travelers - one mentioned "the chef showed off his skills with delicious buffet lunches featuring fresh local seafood."
