- LWLucia· August 23rd, 2023Parts of the trip were really nice but overall did not meet my expectations. The starting point changed to the ending port the day of the departure but we were advised that our itinerary would remain the same but in a different order. We did not follow itinerary at all, from our GPS we maybe went within a 15km radius of Gocek. We definitely felt as the only non-Turks on the boat we were a third wheel with the captain only communicating with us at a minimum- like saying a meal was ready or swim now. We were often clueless to how long we spent in each spot or when things were happening. There was two occasions when we realised everyone had left the boat on the dingy and we didn’t know where they had gone or would be back. On a positive note we had lovely fellow passengers and one could speak some English so would at times let us know what was happening. The turquoise coast is very pretty, a couple of times we were swimming with rubbish and food scraps but mainly clean and there are lots of spots to stop at only 10-15mins apart. If (like me) you had expectations of sailing - the sails were never unfurled, exploring small costal towns, I don’t think a grocery boat parked on a sand bar counts then this is not the trip for you.Show moreTrip date: August 2023
