- Days 1-2
Bangkok & Kanchanaburi
- Days 3-4
Erawan Falls & Ayutthaya
Day 3 is for exploring the seven levels of Erawan Waterfalls. "The waterfalls at Erawan National Park were absolutely breathtaking - bring water shoes as the rocks can be slippery." On day 4, bike around Ayutthaya's ancient ruins before taking the overnight train to Chiang Mai. Try to book a lower berth for better views and easier access.
- Days 5-8
Chiang Mai Cultural Immersion
- Days 9-11
Pai Adventures
The drive to Pai takes 3 hours through winding roads. You'll find hot springs, waterfalls and a scenic canyon in this relaxed town. "Pai was such a highlight - the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation." Take morning drives when possible. The road has 762 curves so pack motion sickness pills if needed.
- Days 12-14
Final Chiang Mai Experiences
14 Day Thailand Island Hopping Itinerary, incl. Bangkok and Phuket
A coastal adventure spans 14 days along Thailand's eastern and western shores. Highlights include Khao Sok National Park, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao, and Phi Phi Islands. Package includes 4 breakfasts, 4 lunches, and 1 dinner, plus beach camping, snorkeling trips, and Muay Thai training.
- Days 1-3
Bangkok
Begin your Thailand adventure in vibrant Bangkok. "The riverside temples and local markets were incredible, but don't skip the Thai massage—it really helps prepare you for the journey ahead," one traveler noted. Book your massage in late morning when it's less busy. Pack light since you'll use various transportation, including a sleeper train south. Lower bunks offer more space if you can get them.
- Days 4-5
Khao Sok National Park
Take an overnight train to Khao Sok National Park and stay in floating bungalows on the lake. A traveler shared: "Waking up to limestone cliffs reflecting on the still morning water was magical. We even spotted wild elephants during our kayaking trip!" Plan for 2-3 hours of kayaking. Wear clothes that dry quickly and protect your electronics with a dry bag.
- Days 5-7
Koh Phangan
A short ferry takes you to Koh Phangan, where you'll find beautiful Bottle Beach. Try a morning Muay Thai lesson when temperatures are cooler and go island-hopping for snorkeling. "The snorkeling spots around Koh Phangan were incredible—we saw so many tropical fish. Bring reef-safe sunscreen as regular sunscreen isn't allowed," a recent visitor said. The 6-hour boat trip includes lunch.
- Days 8-10
Koh Tao
Travel 2 hours by ferry to Koh Tao, perfect for diving and snorkeling. Visit Koh Nang Yuan before 11 AM to avoid crowds and get great photos. "The famous Koh Tao pub crawl was so much fun, but plan for a recovery day after!" according to one traveler. Remember taxi boats stop running early in the evening.
- Days 11-12
Koh Phi Phi
Head to Thailand's west coast to explore the Phi Phi Islands. Take a boat tour to Maya Bay and Monkey Beach. "Maya Bay gets extremely crowded by midday. The early morning tour is worth the 6 AM wake-up call," one visitor mentioned. Note: Maya Bay closes for conservation in August-September 2025, but tours will visit other beaches instead.
- Days 13-14
Phuket
Finish your trip in Phuket, Thailand's biggest island. Spend your last full day exploring Old Town's colonial buildings or relaxing at Kata or Karon beach. A smart tip from a traveler: "Grab dinner in Old Phuket Town rather than the tourist beaches—the local food is better and about half the price."

Swiss Alps
The scenic drive through Burgundy to Switzerland takes time. Pack motion sickness medicine if you need it. Base yourself in Interlaken. "Don't miss Jungfraujoch but go early - first train up at 8am has shortest queues and clearest views before afternoon clouds roll in. Bring warm layers as it's freezing at the top year-round."
- Days 6-8
Tuscany & Florence
- Days 8-9
Rome
- Days 10-11
Venice & Munich
- Days 12-14

What people love about 2-week tours
- Northern Thailand Adventure
The North Thailand tour was incredible from start to finish. I have done 3 of the tru travels tours and this was by far the best. Amazing unforgettable experiences! Dan was nothing less than incredible. Alongside Minnie, they made the trip so relaxing and fun. The whole group got on so well and this was certainly testament to Dan's friendly enthusiasm that picked up everyone up even when we were hiking in the 35 degree heat. Genuinely couldn't recommend this trip more. Amazing acccomdation throughout the trip and all the activities were such great value for money. Thank you Dan and Minnie for a truly unforgettable trip!
- Thailand Island Hopper
Where do I begin to describe my 3 weeks on this tour, there are not enough words!!! We were lucky to be blessed with the company of 3 tour guides Luke, Joe and Andre who are all absolutely amazing, friendly and bloody MENTAL people. At no point did I feel uncomfortable, unsafe or unsure about what I could and couldn't do. I travelled alone and ended up meeting some people I will now consider lifelong friends. Throughout the trip you will see so many breathtakingly beautiful places. My particular favourites were Koh Sok and Bottle beach. Both are extremely beautiful but in a very different way. The memories will always come flooding back from my trip to Thailand, from my arrival during Songkran, the beautiful temples, log rolling in Koh Sok, dancing like a maniac and losing my liver in Koh phagan, befriending a guinea pig and naming him Ernie, Kayaking on the HMS Jen, Andres dislocated shoulder, becoming Dr Poi and many more!! Thank you very much for an amazing and eventful 3 weeks in Thailand. I miss you all very much.....See you all soon I hope, The Irish Jen xx
