Hanoi
Your private driver meets you at the airport and takes you to your hotel in central Hanoi, with the Old Quarter just nearby. After settling in, you'll have the rest of the day to yourself. Whether you want to get out and walk around the neighborhood or prefer to rest after your flight is entirely up to you.

- Day 2
Ninh Binh - Tam Coc - Mua Cave
Your guide picks you up and you'll head south to Ninh Binh province. First up is Hoa Lu, the ancient capital where you'll learn about feudal dynasties that ruled Vietnam. After that, you'll cycle around the village before having lunch at a 5-star restaurant serving local specialties. Then comes a 1.5-hour bamboo boat ride through Tam Coc's karst landscape, followed by climbing nearly 500 steps up Mua Cave for views over the whole area. You'll return to Hanoi by evening.

- Day 3
Hanoi to Sapa
After breakfast at your hotel, you'll check out and board a limousine bus for the 6-hour drive to Sapa through mountain scenery. Once you arrive and get to your hotel, the afternoon and evening are yours to explore this charming mountain town at whatever pace suits you.

- Day 4
Sapa - Mountain Villages Trek
At 9:30 am your guide meets you to start a 12 km trek through mountain villages. You'll walk through Y Linh Ho and Lao Chai, home to the Hmong people, with rice terraces and mountains surrounding you the whole time. Lunch happens in Lao Chai village by the river. After eating, you'll continue hiking to Ta Van village where the Dzay people live, and you'll stay overnight there to experience their daily routines and customs firsthand.

- Day 5
Ta Van to Giang Ta Chai - Return to Sapa and Hanoi
Start with breakfast, then trek to Giang Ta Chai village of the Red Dao people. You'll hike through bamboo forest in Hoang Lien National Park, pass a waterfall and rattan bridge, and stop for lunch. From there, you'll head to Su Pan village before driving back to Sapa. The limousine bus takes you back to Hanoi in the afternoon.

- Day 6
Hanoi to Ha Long Bay
After breakfast, your driver picks you up from the hotel for the scenic drive to Ha Long Bay across the Red River Delta. Once on the boat, you'll cruise past limestone rocks and karst formations. A seafood lunch happens on board, then you'll visit a famous limestone cave with options to kayak or swim near floating villages and shops. Return to the boat for early dinner and you'll have the evening free for optional activities.

- Day 7
Ha Long Bay to Hanoi
You'll get up early and can either do a Tai Chi lesson or have a hearty breakfast. The boat makes one more stop at a limestone cave filled with stalagmites and stalactites before heading back to the main harbor. You should arrive back in Hanoi around 5 pm, leaving the rest of the day free to rest and recover from your time at sea.

Hanoi to Hoi An
You'll have breakfast at the hotel and some leisure time to kill before a private cab takes you to the airport. The flight to Hoi An gets you there with time to check in at your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to rest and get settled.

- Day 9
Hoi An
Hoi An has over 400 tailoring shops if you want to get something made, with full suits ready in a day and smaller items like shoes in about 4 hours. Stop by early if that interests you. Grab a Banh Mi sandwich from Madam Khanh, known as the Banh Mi Queen, and then check out the ancient sights around town. After dark, walk through the lantern market to watch how traditional paper lanterns come together. Around 9 to 10 pm, there's free outdoor traditional theatre on Nguyen Thai Hoc street with Vietnamese folk dancers and musicians. You can light a candle box and set it in the water before heading back to your hotel.

- Day 10
Hoi An
You can spend the day exploring Hoi An however you like, checking out Japanese merchant houses, pagodas, temples, and antique warehouses, or just sitting in a riverside caf by the Thu Bon River. Or you could join the optional Hoi An Eco Tour from 8:30 am to 1 pm, which takes you through a local colorful market, a basket boat ride through nipa palm forest in Cam Thanh Eco-Village, a fishing experience, and a cooking class where you'll make and eat 5 Vietnamese dishes. Your afternoon stays free for more exploring or resting.

Hoi An to Ho Chi Minh City
After breakfast at the hotel, you'll take a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Once you check in at your hotel, the rest of the day is free. Use it to rest up and recover your energy after traveling.

- Day 12
Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta
Your pickup happens at 7:20 am and you'll head to the Mekong Delta, making your way to My Tho on the left side of the Mekong River. You'll board a sampan and cruise around four islands: Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise. At Unicorn Island, you'll walk country lanes, see orchards, taste tropical fruits, and hear folk songs from locals. A hand-rowed sampan takes you through Thoi Son canal where you'll visit family businesses and a honey-bee farm, plus try honey tea and coconut candy. Lunch comes at a local restaurant. The afternoon means either cycling around Tan Thach village to meet locals and see how people live here, or relaxing in a hammock. You'll head back to Ho Chi Minh City around 5:30 pm.

Ho Chi Minh City
Your half-day tour starts at 8 am with Independence Palace, also called Reunification Palace, sitting on the site of the former Norodom Palace. You'll see beautiful French Colonial structures like Notre Dame Cathedral and the historic Central Post Office. The War Remnants Museum comes next, with extensive displays from the Indochina wars. You'll get back to your hotel or meeting point by noon.
