Well organised tour, perfect for water sports enthusiasts and partygoers. Gives a glimpse of what Philippines has to offer, to first time travellers to the country. Loved visiting the Badjao school and the Motag Living Museum. Didn’t enjoy going into Badjao people’s homes, felt it was intrusive. Other interesting activities included a visit to the Tarsier sanctuary and the Chocolate Hills. Accommodation provided is very good, better to opt for your own room if you are a solo traveller.The tour can be hectic at times, especially the first few days, some events require getting up at 3 am! The tour can be improved by including more Filipino tour guides who can give an indepth historical and cultural perspective, and ease the work for the main guide. Day 9 is free and Day 10 is just travel to the airport, so if you don’t have much to do in Boracay, you can leave on the 9th day. This was the inaugural East Philippines tour and it was well done for a first time attempt.

My first time doing a tour like this and it was incredible. A brilliant way to discover and explore the Philippines. The tour was intense, with a lot packed into the 13 days (expect several very early starts), but worth it. The three day boat trip was a highlight for me: the snorkeling spots and remote beaches were top notch, as was the food prepared by the crew. Our tour leader (Sam) was very knowledgeable and made sure everything went smoothly with regards to internal travel and organisation of the daytime activities. He also took us to some great restaurants and bars in the evenings to experience the local nightlife. All of the accommodation throughout the trip was great too. I'd highly recommend this tour.
The Philippines west tour has been absolutely incredible!! I can not believe and the itinerary meant we saw so much in a short space of time. The absolute highlight of the trip was the coron castaway island. It was incredible to camp on our own beach, waking up in open huts overlooking the sea was awesome - even being covered in sand. You'll never that get that experience with other tour companies. Swimming to our new home was amazing! Justin, Jason and TruTravels have been amazing. The itinerary meant three ful days island hopping which was fab, the stops and snorkeling were all so beautiful, and everyday there was fantastic and delicious lunch, dinner and breakfast. All the locals we met have been so welcoming. El Nido was stunning our sunset at outpost and Nacpan beach a memory I will treasure forever! There are some long but necessary travel days! Thank you for an incredible experience I'll remember forever!! TruTravels absolutely nailed it. Justin and Jason you were fab and everyone should Hashtag JustGo - it's unreal going home devastated but likely to book Sri Lanka!!
