What people love about Philippines Tours in August
- 16 Days Do The Philippines Adventure (Independent Tour)
This was such amazing tour. The tour guides were awesome and showed us the most beautiful places. Would do this over again tomorrow if I had the chance.
- Philippines West
This tour is a must if you want to experience the Philippines as a group! So many fun activities it is hard to pick a favorite. The zip-line experience was one of my of my best travel experiences so far, I am not great with height's but this is the type of activity that you need to challenge yourself and try. The El Nido private beach day was also phenomenal! I've been fortunate enough to experience this tour with 18 great tour mates and two tour guides who knew all the best places and spent 10 days accommodating for all our needs. I can not wait to relive this tour in the future but this time I will do the full 19 days including the East tour. The Castaway experience was very unique, being able to understand the tribes daily ways of life was fantastic - a very humbling experience! Shame I was unbearably ill on the first night but I could still appreciate what a beautiful location we were to share together. Final note on Justin and Jason - great guides and more importantly brilliant people. Hope to keep in touch and party with them on future tours. Keep up the good work TruTravels!! I have finished my three tours this year with Tru and loved all three!! JustGo Leo :)
- Philippines Island Hopper
TrueTravels rocked this island tour. Chris, our guide, made the trip even better with his humor and knowledge of the region. If you are looking to experience the Philippines you need to take this tour.

August opens up excellent opportunities to explore key Philippine destinations. The waters around Cebu welcome whale shark watchers while El Nido's lagoons and hidden beaches shine between rain showers. Bohol's Chocolate Hills take on a deeper green hue and the Banaue Rice Terraces showcase their most vibrant colors. A stay at Solea Coast Resort in Panglao or Hue Hotels in Boracay provides convenient access to these attractions. As one TourRadar traveler shared: "The island hopping in El Nido was absolutely spectacular especially visiting the Big Lagoon and Secret Beach."
Are there any special festivals in Philippines during August?
Cultural celebrations fill the Philippine calendar in August. The streets of Davao come alive during the Kadayawan Festival while Angono Rizal hosts the colorful Higantes Festival. Manila presents a month-long celebration of arts and culture. Visitors staying at The Henry Hotel Manila find themselves well-placed to join these local celebrations. A TourRadar traveler noted: "The timing of our trip coincided with the Kadayawan Festival which added an amazing cultural dimension to our Philippine experience with incredible street performances and local celebrations."

The monsoon season brings regular rainfall to Manila and Luzon during August. Yet destinations like Boracay and Palawan often see sunshine between brief showers. Guests at Four Points by Sheraton Palawan experience temperatures ranging from 26-32°C (79-90°F) with quick-clearing afternoon rains. According to a TourRadar traveler: "Despite visiting in rainy season we still got to enjoy most activities and the weather actually made the Chocolate Hills even more spectacular with the lush green vegetation."

August's afternoon thunderstorms can affect flight schedules particularly in Manila and Cebu. Tour packages like Total Philippines include domestic flights with 20kg baggage allowance. A TourRadar traveler's experience reflects typical conditions: "Every airplane in the Philippines was 2 or more hours late during our tour so plan accordingly."
What's the best region to visit in Philippines during August?
