While the tour itself had beautiful locations and ran fairly smoothly, I was genuinely disappointed by the lack of consideration shown by our guide, Jet. Despite knowing it was my actual birthday during the tour, there was little acknowledgment shown. What made it worse was seeing Jet organize a pre-birthday cake and celebration for another guest just days earlier. That kind of selective attention doesn’t go unnoticed — and honestly, it stung. A tour guide should make every guest feel seen and appreciated, especially on personal occasions like a birthday. This is why I booked the tour in the first place. The fact that Jet made the effort for someone else pre birthday celebration but barely put any effort into mine left a bad taste and made the experience feel uneven and, frankly, dismissive. Professionalism isn’t just about managing the itinerary — it’s also about how you treat people. That part was missing here. His dog Poops joined us in El Nido and totally stole our hearts! The highlight for me was camping on the private island — it felt like something out of a dream. The tour provided plenty of delicious meals included and plenty of activities to choose from at an affordable price. Was kept informed daily as to the plans for the day. The overall experience allowed you to get a feel of the people and the culture of the Philippines. Our guide Vlad (“Island Boi”) was awesome, insightful and knowledgeable to the local areas and the history of the Philippines in general and provided plenty of local advice and knowledge to make our trip very enjoyable and memorable, One Life Family!
