Being picked up on day one from the airport made me feel comfortable and safe going from each destination to the next. We were lucky that he was a local so he was full of knowledge and great recommendations on where to eat or even watch the sunset. This was one of the best trips I’ve ever taken by far. The sight seeing, visiting the day care, and the FOOD was amazing. So much appreciation towards the boat crew we had. I had booked this trip for my birthday not having any expectations as far as celebrating and Jet along with the boat crew we were with went above and beyond to make me feel special. I loved the authenticity brought by our tour guide Jet & unique experiences in the itinerary (school visit - wouldn’t be able to do this otherwise). I really felt like i was being immersed into the Filipino culture by having a local tour guide that knew everyone and everything in Palawan (esp knowing the nice bars, restaurants, community shops etc to go to in the evenings! While our guide did his best to keep up from getting sick by taking us to safe food & drink spots, its inevitable that majoring our 8 people group did get sick on the last day (beware of food/rice in the sun and heat). When and where do I provided or show my travel insurance? Is there any other useful information or suggestions that I should know about?
One Life AdventuresOperator•Written August 2025You can check in from 2PM on Day 1, and if you arrive earlier, you're welcome to drop your bags and have a little explore before we kick things off with the group meeting and welcome dinner at 6PM. On Day 10, check out is usually by 11AM but the tour ends after the breakfast. We recommend purchasing an eSIM for better coverage. For snorkeling, basic gear such as a mask, snorkel and fins is provided. When it comes to money, you can withdraw cash at the airport or at ATMs near our Manila accommodation. Our guide usually will ask for your travel insurance on the first day, it can be digital or physical insurance travel.

So you have to pay extra for a Plane back to Manila? Can you explain what options I have when departing? Where will the van take me?

Around 3-5 days before your tour, we'll send you a link to join a WhatsApp group with your guide and the rest of your group. You can let your guide know your exact arrival details there so they can arrange the airport pickup. We always recommend landing before 3PM as Manila traffic can be heavy sometimes. For Day 10, your options are: Fly directly from El Nido to Manila with AirSwift, this is the quickest and easiest way, but it's at your own cost. Or you can travel back to Puerto Princesa, we cover the public transportation (around 6 hours). If you choose this, you can book a flight from Puerto Princesa to Manila, but please make sure it departs after 3 pm so we can get you there in time for check-in.

You can arrive anytime on Day 1, even early morning. You're welcome to come before check-in and just leave your luggage at the hotel. Arriving earlier is always nice, it gives you time to rest up or head out for a little explore before the fun begins!

We do offer a twin share upgrade for this tour that will give you both a private room throughout the whole of the tour, a double bed can be requested. A twin share upgrade will also give you a private bathroom in each accommodation excluding the beach stay where communal bathrooms will be used.

This trip is packed with beach time and water-based activities. You'll get at least 5 full days where you're in and around the ocean, with plenty of chances to swim, snorkel, and soak up those tropical island vibes. Here's a quick breakdown: Day 3: We visit the famous Underground River and spend the afternoon chilling on the beach in Port Barton. Day 4-5: Two days of island hopping with snorkelling, beach bonfires, and even a night camping on your own private beach! Day 6: Free time once we arrive in El Nido, most guests head straight to the beach or join a beach clean up or massage session. Day 7: After a short jungle trek, you'll spend the rest of the day at Las Cabanas Beach, with optional ziplining between islands. Day 8: A full day of island hopping in El Nido's famous lagoon and island spots, this is a big highlight of the trip. Day 9: Chill beachside massage day with optional extra water activities like another island hopping trip, paddleboarding, scuba diving or surfing.

Asked on April 14th, 2025I am looking at joining either the 10 day Classic tour, or the 14 day tour in May. What is the difference between the two? I am looking to island hop, do some activities, see the islands, relax and have fun. I am not a person who looks to drink, but I love beaches, socialising, am am very active. I want to come away feeling relaxed but having dine some interesting and fun things. Which do you feel is better for what I am looking for? I am not super picky about accommodations, but I would like it to be clean, and well equipped. I am also a vegetarian. What do you suggest?

Both our 10-day Classic and 14-day Philippines tours are amazing, but based on what you shared, I'd recommend the 14-day one, especially since you love beaches, relaxing, and fun activities. The main difference is that the 14-day tour includes a 4-day expansion to Coron Island (days 10–13), where you'll get to enjoy more snorkelling, island hopping, hot springs, and even a beach bonfire night! It's a great way to unwind while still exploring more stunning islands. We can absolutely accommodate your vegetarian diet, just let your guide know at the start and we'll take care of the rest. Accommodation is clean and comfy, and we focus on making sure you're well taken care of throughout. On Day 1, we offer pick-up from Manila airport only. On the last day, you'll be in El Nido or Coron (depending on your tour), and your guide can help arrange your airport transfer based on your outbound flight.

We do want to be transparent about the nature of the trip. Many of our itineraries involve island hopping, getting on and off boats, and navigating beaches and uneven terrain. Due to these elements, as well as the types of accommodation and transport used, we unfortunately aren't currently able to safely or comfortably accommodate travellers who require the use of a wheelchair.
