What people love about India Tours in March
- Taj Mahal and Wildlife with Royal Stay at Castles
It was an excellent tour with lovely sightseeing places.Tour guides were amazing & driver was friendly.Hotels were also very nice.A real value for money.
- North India Classic 14 Day - One Life Adventures
Honestly India was always a place I wanted to go, but I was too scared to do it alone. I had this idea that it was super intense and chaotic. While that is true in some cases, it is so much more and One Life made my time over there unbelievable. It sounds like a massive cliche, but "life-changing" doesn't even come close. This was truly a trip that changed my outlook on life. As being part of one of the first test groups doing the tour, I was expecting some hiccups along the way but was surprised when everything was completely smooth and easy, wow what an adventure! Our One Life guide Joe is an asset to the company. Just the right mix of fun, attentiveness, and knowledge. Our Local Legends (local Indian guides) were incredible and so passionate about their own home towns. Kudos to One Life for getting locals from each city to guide us around instead of 1 local India guide for the whole thing. You get such an authentic experience in each place! Raj in Delhi was brilliant and so proud to show us around his favourite street-food haunts in Old Delhi. Definitely clicked with a foodie like me! One of my biggest highlights was the Taj Mahal (of course), but not just the sunrise that everyone does with about a million other people. It was the sunset the night before from the garden across the river. The view of the Taj was stunning and I actually preferred it to going inside the actual complex the next morning. Nice touch! Varanasi was another top spot for me. It's like stepping back in time. Such a spiritual place I felt very fortunate to put a floating flower offering on the Ganges from our boat while making our way up the ghats. Magic! Loved the camp in Pushkar and appreciated the free time to just explore and take it all in. I can't fault this trip. Everything was so well thought-out and made me completely fall in love with India.
- Glory Of Golden Triangle Tour With Varanasi 8 Days
Without a guided tour and Mr Sanjeev PAUL I would have been lost, especially in Delhi. He showed me interessting and nice places and good restaurants. I can reccommend two hotels which he booked for me: Jaipur: Heritage Hotel Agra: Hotel Marine House I felt sick and had to go to hospital. Sanjeev was with me all the time. I was in safe hands. Sanjeev organised everything very well and I could even see more places than expected. My driver drove very safely. Thank you again for everything!
What our customers ask about India Tours in March 2026
What is the weather like in India during March specifically at key tourist destinations?
March brings mild temperatures across India's most visited regions. In Delhi expect daytime readings of 25-30°C while Agra and Jaipur run slightly higher at 30-32°C. The conditions are particularly good for outdoor activities and sightseeing. Wildlife areas like Ranthambore National Park see temperatures of 15-20°C during morning and evening safari times. According to visitor reports at places like Ranthambore Nature Camp the spring conditions create an ideal balance for both city exploration and wildlife viewing.
What are the advantages of visiting India's wildlife parks in March?
The dry weather and thin vegetation in March create excellent conditions for spotting wildlife especially tigers in India's national parks. At Ranthambore tiger sightings happen regularly during this season with visitors reporting multiple sightings in single outings. Lodges such as Ranthambore Heritage Haveli and Tigress Resort provide convenient access to both morning and afternoon safari drives when animals are most active. The clear skies and moderate temperatures make long days of wildlife watching comfortable.
What type of tours are best suited for March travel in India?
Multi-destination tours work especially well in March combining cultural sites with wildlife experiences. Popular combinations include the Golden Triangle route (Delhi Agra and Jaipur) plus time in Ranthambore National Park. The weather supports full days of activities from morning monument visits to afternoon wildlife drives. Hotels like Zone by the Park in Jaipur serve as strategic bases for exploring both city attractions and nearby natural areas.
How does March pricing compare to peak season for Indian tours?
Travel costs in March run about 20% lower than peak winter season (December-February). Daily tour rates average USD 150-200 compared to USD 250-300 during high season. Many accommodations including Hotel Arya Niwas in Jaipur offer reduced rates during this shoulder season. The value proposition is strong given the favorable weather conditions and reduced crowds at major attractions.
What are the key festivals and events to experience in India during March?
The calendar fills with cultural celebrations in March most notably Holi the festival of colors in early March. Traditional events take place at venues like Jaipur's City Palace while street celebrations happen across Delhi. The Mewar Festival in Udaipur features water processions best viewed from the Lake Palace Hotel. The Elephant Festival in Jaipur rounds out the month's cultural offerings with decorated elephants parading through the streets.
Is March a good time to visit the Taj Mahal and other monuments?
Clear March skies and moderate temperatures create optimal conditions for visiting India's monuments. Early morning hours between 6-8 AM offer the best light for photographing the Taj Mahal. Properties like The Oberoi Amarvilas provide direct views of the monument. The weather equally suits exploring Delhi's Red Fort and Jaipur's Amber Fort where the spring temperatures allow for unhurried visits through the extensive grounds.
