7-Day Iceland Tour Packages
Ever wanted to explore Iceland with plenty of time to spare? Visit Snæfellsnes Peninsula's seals and basalt cliffs on a full loop, with quiet moments watching icebergs float in Jökulsárlón lagoon, active moments hiking glaciers near Vík. You'll mix busy spots with quiet ones nicely; maybe Geysir in the morning, then peaceful whale watching in Eyjafjörður near Akureyri. Winter guides know exactly where to catch the Northern Lights away from city lights.

7 Days in Iceland, incl. Reykjavik and Akureyri
A grand circuit visits 8 major destinations from Reykjavik to Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. The 2,000km route includes Mývatn's geothermal areas, Dettifoss waterfall, and Golden Circle highlights like Gullfoss waterfall and Geysir hot springs.

- Day 1
Reykjavik
- Day 2
Reykjavik to Akureyri
Drive north to Akureyri for 5-6 hours. Spend your afternoon exploring the old town of Iceland's second-largest city. You can take a whale watching tour in Eyjafjörður fjord. Pick the later afternoon slot since morning waters tend to be rougher. If you get seasick easily bring motion sickness medication.

- Day 3
Lake Mývatn Area
Start with Goðafoss waterfall before heading to Lake Mývatn. You'll see the unusual Dimmuborgir lava formations and the active Námaskarð geothermal area. A traveler shared: "The volcanic landscape around Mývatn was unlike anything I'd ever seen - bring good hiking boots as the terrain is quite rough."

- Day 4
East Fjords to Höfn
- Day 5
Jökulsárlón and Skaftafell
Visit Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon to see enormous icebergs floating out to sea. A visitor suggested: "Go early to Diamond Beach - the morning light on the ice chunks is incredible. Bring waterproof boots as the black sand gets very wet." You can also take a glacier hike at Skaftafell but book it ahead of time. The day ends with a drive to Vík.

- Day 6
South Coast and Golden Circle
- Day 7
Reykjavik
Spend your last morning in Reykjavik. You might want to try snorkeling at Silfra between tectonic plates. If you do, plan to stay an extra night since return times vary between 2-5 PM. A previous traveler advised: "Book your airport transfer the night before - morning traffic in Reykjavik can be unpredictable."

What people love about 7-day Iceland tours
- 7-Day Small Group Journey Around Iceland
I thoroughly enjoyed this tour, it was perfectly organised and covered all the important spots to see. Our guide was excellent, accommodation is really great on the tour, and the bus seemed to be new. Highly recommended!
- Best of Iceland
Iceland was on my bucket list for many years. I was finally able to tick it off last year. I didn't know much about Iceland and maybe that's why I was so in awe during the trip. I've recommended this G Adventures trip to everyone who has asked me.
- 7 Day - Iceland Ring Road & Snæfellsnes Peninsula Small-Group Tour
This tour of Icelandic highlights was great. A relaxed itinerary made it all that more enjoyable.
