What people love about Coach / Bus Tours from Rome
- European Highlights
After the tour we had booked with Contiki was cancelled on short notice, we quickly had to find an alternative that would fit into our travel dates. A friend suggested Expat Explore. We can honestly say that it was the best thing that could have happened! We went on a 10-day highlights tour through Europe, visiting Paris, Wilderswil (Switzerland) including Jungfrau, Florence, Venice, Munich, Rhine Valley and Amsterdam. Both the South African EE office as well as the UK office staff were friendly, very helpful and efficient. We arrived early on departure morning at abandoned Canada Water station hoping that the company actually existed, but were soon enough greated by the friendly Expat team. Our first couch driver Paul took us from London to Paris through the Eurotunnel and for a drive tour of Paris - amazing driving through the busy streets of Paris. Our guide Sam from New Zealand was excellent and was more like a friend than a guide at the end of the tour. He was as laidback as they come and yet very efficient. Also very knowledgeable. Our couch driver for the rest of the tour, Bas, a young ex-soldier, was a brilliant driver and always up for a chat and a laugh. We went on a comfort tour which is a level above a budget tour. The couch was in an excellent condition, with comfortable seats and aircon! Accommodation was nothing spectacular, but very nice for a tour. Hotel rooms were clean and neat and of fairly good size. Generally in excellent locations as well, except in Paris and Venice. Breakfasts were all included and varied from English to very European with lots of bread and cake, but there was certainly enough to eat for everyone. There were also some dinners included, which were excellent! If you want to see the major European sites on a whirlwind tour, but with the comfort of staying in a hotel, this is the tour for you! You cannot go wrong with Expat Explore. Again, thank you to Sam & Bas for making it a very memorable holiday indeed!!!
- Italian Holiday
I had the best tour guide, Alessia, and best driver, Salvador. I would redo this trip just because of them!
- Italian Scene (Summer)
Trafalgar were very professional and very welcoming when we first me our Tour Guide at the Hotel in Rome. We quickly made friends with other tour participants and our Tour Guide was very informative wherever we stopped plus getting us to meet "promptly" before we departed to the next place. We had a ball in Tuscany where we all "let loose" and had a lovely meal and plenty of wine in the hot, sunny Tuscan hill restaurant, dancing the day away!
