What people love about Coach / Bus Tours from Barcelona
- Barcelona, Madrid, Mysterious Morocco and Lisbon
The tour was good overall. Main problem with the Europamundo tour is that the same group of people doesn't stay with you for the duration of the tour. Many different travelers join in between and many leave the tour after a couple of days. Unlike other tour operators where you are together with the people you meet on Day1 until the end of the tour, Europamundo accommodates travellers in different cities at various points in the tour, so you are not able to bond well with folks who haven't been with you for the whole duration. Some hotels were below average (broken shower heads, broken trash bins, cockroaches) while a few others were decent. AC Hotel SOM Marriott in Barcelona, Hilton Garden Inn in Tangier, Xaluca in Erfoud and Gran Luna in Granada were nice, but Hotel Praga in Madrid, Xaluca in Marakkesh, Zurique in Lisbon, Farah in Rabat were below average. Coach buses didn't have USB charging ports for most of the tour. Some short distance buses for city tours had them. Guide in Morocco (Karim) and Sara in Granada and Patricia for Alhambra tour were nice. Others were not so much. There were a few places where we could have spent more time exploring, but I'm not giving low rating for that since we knew the itinerary and that's the way the tour was planned.
- Great Iberian Cities
The Iberian Explorer tour (Costsaver Trafalgar) hosted by Kassie Jones was a truly unforgettable experience. As our tour director, she was exceptional in her planning, communication, knowledge and caring towards all our fellow travellers. Our pilot, Joao, was an absolute genius behind the wheel of our large tour bus, displaying a skill that was truly remarkable. Anyone else who is fortunate enough to travel with them is in store for the holiday that they could previously only dream of. The tour itself was well structured, with a pace that was manageable by all age groups on the bus. The coach itself was comfortable and we could easily tolerate the long journeys. The hotels were mostly excellent, barring for a couple of them that were last minute changes - that weren't up to par, but overall we were happy. The only suggestion I would make to a potential traveller; is don't waste your time with the included dinners, as they are quite bad. Rather make your own reservations/plans for a quality local eatery, that way, no regrets for time lost.
- Iberian Explorer
Our guide and driver were experts in every aspect of our trip. They made the excursion enjoyable, interesting and fun.
