What people love about Alice Springs Tours
- 3 Day Uluru Adventure ex Yulara
This tour is fantastic for those who are fit and willing to enjoy every single minute. We visited many fabulous places...the scenery was astounding and the guide was the absolute best. She looked after each individual making him/her feel extra special. Her knowledge of the area was way beyond expectation. Thank you Jerry for your extra effort to ensure my vegan meals were just as great if not better than the regular meat eaters. You deserve 10 stars.
- 3 Day Uluru Kata-Tjuta Kings Canyon (Camping) - From Alice Springs
Great tour that takes you to iconic locations including Uluru, Kata Tjuta and King's Canyon. Had lots of fun with the group exploring the beautiful natural landscapes. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. Food was good and dietary preferences (vegan) were well catered for. Highly recommend :)
- 3 Day Uluru Adventure
In a word it was 'wonderful'. Totally, unexpectedly 40'C plus wonderful. We had a superb guide named Duffy and a marvellous group of 23 adventurers from other nations and myself - 'the token Aussie'. I had arrived in Alice Springs intending to visit my sister and her family. I hadn't expected to take a backpacking tour to Uluru, Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon sleeping in a swag under the stars but I am so glad I did. In my 35 years I have travelled on four different continents by myself, with friends, with boyfriends and on small group tours such as this one. This tour ties in first place as one of the best I have ever experienced. Duffy's organisation was exemplary. He had games, quizzes, 'getting to know you' introductions, drawing competitions etc perfectly timed during the long bus trips. All supplies for such activities seamlessly appeared from his box of tricks as if by magic. His routines for cooking, cleaning and packing up camp were organised with a minimum of fuss and a maximum of fun. He knew how to 'read' the group extremely well. He knew how to get the shy to speak up, how to reach out to those who were struggling and how to have a good laugh with the more gregarious of the group. He made you feel part of a team. His strict adherence to occupational health and safety concerns gave me the utmost confidence in both him and your organization. He made sure people were drinking enough water and paying attention to their surroundings in a fun and informative way. The scenery is, as my American sister-in-law would say 'awesome'. I was totally blown away by the most spectacular country and sites such as Uluru, Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon. Words failed me every day in my attempt to describe their majesty so I resorted to taking pictures! Thanks to Duffy and the team for including all my gluten free meal requirements with no fuss or bother. It was such a joy to be able to eat safely and easily. The tour group was wonderful. A mix of people from all different countries including an Italian chef and an Israeli helicopter pilot. It was great fun taking photos with the South Koreans who seemed to want to outdo each other with the craziest of photo poses! Duffy's understanding of and respect for Aboriginal culture is heart warming. He explained many complex ideas in an interesting and informative way. His talk about the geography of Central Australia, conducted under a shelter at Kata Tjuta after a strong rain storm was excellent. Above all I would like to praise Duffy for his enthusiasm. He had 24 people to care for in temperatures which were very, very warm at times yet he never failed to be upbeat, generous, enthusiastic and positive. This is truly admirable. Mind you, he may have been letting off steam by the judicious use of his beloved Super Soaker water pistol on his passengers! This tour surprised me and taught me many valuable lessons about people, life and teaching. You are blessed to have one of the best guides I have ever seen working for you, whose classroom is the Central Australian Outback. Thank you to Duffy, my fellow travellers and the whole Adventure Tours Australia team for a fantastic Central Australia tour!
