I’ve done a couple of tours with INTRO before in Thailand and Bali, and got the opportunity to join them for their first tour of the Philippines with my fiancé. It’s a beautiful country and INTRO delivered (as they always do) with a well-run tour that shows you so much in just 13 days. Lots of snorkelling, lots of beach time in the sun and some real adventure activities like the canyoneering at Kawasan Falls. The 3 day boat expedition between Coron and El Nido was one of those times that I will look back on as my fondest memory though – cruising on our own private boat, island hopping between these uninhabited tiny islands with pure white sand and clear seas and eating incredible food, whilst barely seeing any other people doing the same thing. It really did feel like we were the only people out there at times. I thought the accommodation was good as well throughout, clean and comfy and in some great locations, and the Group Leaders were great like on my previous tours, having such a good knowledge of all things Philippines despite this being the first tour they ran there. 100% recommend this tour!

We felt safe, always had communication with Tourradar/Vio people. Elba, our personal guide for the day tour, was AWESOME!! We had a marvelous time!! My favorite was the lodging in the jungle in Panglao!! Absolutely wonderful!!
I have never been to Asia, this is my first country, and I am incredibly happy that I ended up here. A big contrast with Europe, amazing nature, an unusually beautiful sea color and very friendly people!This tour had such a great mix of activities that there was no time to get bored!

When's the best time to visit the Philippines?
The dry season from November to April is really your sweet spot for exploring the Philippines - perfect weather for island hopping and outdoor adventures. If you're looking to dodge the crowds and maybe save a bit of money try visiting during May-June or September-October. You might catch some rain showers but honestly the weather's still pretty good and you'll have more space to yourself.
What cultural experiences can I join in on?
There's some amazing cultural stuff you can get involved with especially in Palawan where you can trek with the Batak Tribe and learn about their way of life. In El Nido you'll find these great cooking demos where you can learn to make proper adobo and eat kamayan-style which means using your hands - it's really fun! The Cuyonon artisans there do fascinating weaving demonstrations too.
