Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Madrid to Pamplona

You'll catch an early morning bus from Madrid heading to Pamplona, arriving with plenty of time to check in at the campsite and get settled before things kick off. Once you've dropped your bags, you can either stick around the campsite and check out what's available there, or head into the city to wander around and soak in the pre-fiesta energy. Either way, you'll get a sense of what's coming for the week ahead.

    Madrid, Spain (TBC)

  2. Days 2 - 3

    Pamplona

The bull run happens at 8:00 am, so if you're participating, you need to be in position by 7:00 am. Shuttle buses run from the campsite all day for both runners and spectators heading into town. After the race wraps up, there's a cooked brunch with bottomless mimosas waiting for you. The afternoon's yours to spend however you want, whether that's floating down the river or hitting up the bars and street parties around Pamplona. Each night brings live bands and DJs scattered throughout the squares, plus fireworks at 11:00 pm. The last shuttle back to camp leaves at 1:00 am.

  3. Day 4

    Pamplona to Madrid

On 12th July you'll check out from the campsite, but not before grabbing the final cooked brunch with bottomless mimosas between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm. After that, you'll head back to Madrid. It's a straightforward checkout day with the bus ride home to finish things off.

Several friends and I booked the Stoke Travel Running of the Bulls Day Trip from Barcelona, and we were all extremely disappointed. While we received several advertising emails from Stoke, many of us were confused about actual details of the event. We were told to meet at 10:30pm for an 11:00pm departure; however, my bus did not leave until around 12:30am, and the employees were very unorganized in signing people in. While we made it to Pamplona on time, we only received 2 of the 6 things we were promised. We received private coaches to the event and 1 litre of sangria upon arrival. We DID NOT receive a guided tour, a hot breakfast roll (since they ran out), experienced guides, or unlimited beer/sangria (we were informed that this was actually an extra 10 euros charge when we boarded the bus). The tour guides in charge seemed immature and disorganized throughout the trip. If you plan to book with Stoke Travel, keep your expectations low because you will be disappointed otherwise.
