You'll arrive in Vietnam and get settled at your hotel. After checking in, you'll meet your Travel Director and the rest of the group for dinner at a local restaurant to start things off together.

Hanoi
This morning begins with Hanoi's revolutionary history at Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and his house on stilts. Next you'll head to the Temple of Literature, then take a cyclo ride through the Old Quarter with all its colorful streets and shops. Your evening is free to relax, or you can catch a water puppetry show if you're interested.

Hanoi to Halong Bay
You'll travel to Halong Bay and board a traditional Vietnamese junk boat for the day. The cruise takes you past limestone karsts, and you'll explore Trung Trang cave on Cat Ba Island. Lunch happens on the water, followed by a cooking class with the chef onboard, then a sunset dinner before spending the night on the UNESCO-listed bay.

Halong Bay to Danang
Start early with a Tai Chi session on the bay, then kayak through the Ao Ech area. You'll relax on the sundeck during the cruise back to the wharf, then drive to Hanoi Airport for your flight to Danang. After arriving, transfer to your hotel in Hoi An with the evening to yourself.

Hoi An
A walking tour takes you through ancient Hoi An's narrow lanes, colorful markets, and temples. You'll see the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge and visit Thanh Dong Organic Village to work alongside local farmers. The day ends with a foot massage and your evening is free.

Hoi An to Hue
Travel by boat to Red Bridge Cooking School to learn traditional Vietnamese cooking methods. After lunch with the food you've prepared, head back to Hoi An then travel over Hai Van Pass to Red Beach. You'll continue to Hue, the former imperial capital, for your overnight stay.

Hue to Ho Chi Minh City
You'll fly to Ho Chi Minh City and start with a walking tour of Dong Khoi Street. Check out the Opera House, former Hotel de Ville, Notre Dame Cathedral, and Central Post Office designed by Gustave Eiffel. Visit the War Remnants Museum and Ben Thanh Market, finishing with dinner at KOTO restaurant which supports hospitality education.

Ho Chi Minh City to Mekong Delta
Today you're heading to Cai Be in the Mekong Delta for a day trip. Cruise along the riverbanks and visit an 19th-century house, then take a leisurely sampan ride through narrow canals. Lunch is hosted at a local home and features regional Mekong Delta dishes before you return to Ho Chi Minh City.

Tour the tunnels with a VC veteran and learn how they served as living quarters, hospitals, and weapons storage. Return by private speedboat and have the afternoon to yourself, then head to the former American Ambassador's home for dinner.
