Delhi
You'll arrive in Delhi whenever your flight gets in, and Women With Wheels has arranged your airport transfer. Once you reach your hotel, take time to settle in and get comfortable at your own pace. An evening welcome meeting brings the group together to kick things off.

Delhi to Agra
This morning starts in Paharganj with a youth guide showing you the district's lively streets and the City Walk project that supports disadvantaged young people. After that, you'll head into Old Delhi's narrow lanes to see the massive Jama Masjid from the 17th century and visit Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib temple near the busy shopping area. By afternoon, a private vehicle takes you to Agra.

Agra
You'll spend the day in Agra checking out the major monuments. First comes the Taj Mahal, built by Emperor Shah Jahan for his wife Mumtaz Mahal and considered the finest example of Mughal architecture. After that, you'll see the 'Baby Taj,' Mumtaz Mahal's grandfather's tomb, then head to Agra Fort with its red sandstone walls and white marble palaces inside.

Agra to Jaipur
The drive to Jaipur includes several stops along the way. First you'll visit Fatehpur Sikri, a red sandstone city built by Emperor Akbar in the 16th century as a short-lived capital. Next comes the Rajasthani village of Abhaneri where you can walk around the Chand Baori, an ornately decorated stepwell over a thousand years old, and learn about ancient water systems. Before reaching your hotel, you'll do a block printing session with the Anoothi Project, where women work with traditionally male techniques.

Jaipur
Jaipur, known as the 'Pink City' for its rose-coloured buildings, is your focus today. You'll tour Amber Fort, the former home of Jaipur's Rajput rulers, and see the Hawa Mahal with its distinctive honeycombed windows. During the day you'll meet with a local historian to talk about India's social customs and architecture. In the evening, there's an option to catch a Bollywood film at a local cinema if you're interested.

You'll drive to the rural village of Pachewar and stay in a heritage home. This day lets you meet local residents, watch potters and silversmiths working, wander past old temples and mud homes, and possibly see a cooking demonstration. It's a chance to see how modernization is changing traditional village life.
