Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival
You'll arrive in India and get picked up at the airport for a transfer to your hotel. Spend the afternoon settling in at your own pace after the flight.



- Day 2
Kochi to Munnar
Head to Munnar, a hill station known for its tea plantations. A local guide takes you through a working tea plantation, then you'll check out a nearby market. The rest of the day is open for relaxing or exploring options like Blossom Park if you want to try cycling or boating. You'll meet other travelers from the longer itinerary in the evening.

- Days 3 - 4
Munnar to Periyar
Drive south to Periyar wildlife sanctuary and stay in Kumily, where shops sell spices and local crafts near the sanctuary entrance. Day 3 is yours to explore freely. On day 4, take an included boat ride across Lake Periyar to look for wild elephants and other wildlife. After that, you have free time to relax or join optional activities like visiting spice plantations or watching a traditional kalaripayattu dance performance.

- Day 5
Periyar to Kumarakom
Leave Periyar and travel to Kumarakom, a village spread across islands on Lake Vembanad. The whole day is yours to spend however you like. You could take a boat ride on the lake or head to the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, which gets plenty of migratory birds during winter months.

Keralan Backwaters
Travel to Alleppey and board your private houseboat for a journey through the Kerala backwaters. You'll drift past small villages and see local life along about 20 kilometers of waterways lined with coconut palms. Lunch starts on the boat, and the chef prepares dinner using fresh local ingredients. Watch the sunset from the deck, then spend the night on the houseboat.

Keralan Backwaters to Kochi
Get off the houseboat and head to Kochi, a historic port city with a rich past. The day is free for you to wander around at your own pace. If interested, you can catch a traditional Kathakali performance this evening, where dancers wear elaborate costumes and makeup.

Departure
