Itinerary
- Day 1
Rome
You'll arrive in Rome and check in from 3:00pm, or drop off your bags if you want to start exploring right away. At 5:00pm, meet your tour leader for a welcome briefing and then take an evening orientation walk past the Colosseum and Roman Forum as the sun sets. The day wraps up with dinner at a traditional Roman trattoria, something cozy and authentic.

Rome
This morning starts with an orientation walk through Rome's historic center, hitting Piazza Navona, Spanish Steps, the Pantheon, and Trevi Fountain. From there, you'll head to Vatican City where St. Peter's Basilica and Vatican Museums are open for you to explore on your own schedule. After that, the evening is yours to wander Rome however you like.

Rome to Florence
Spend your morning in Rome doing whatever appeals to you, whether that's wandering historic streets, picking up souvenirs, or grabbing a cappuccino at a café. Early afternoon you'll board a high-speed train to Florence, arriving with time to check in. Later, join your guide for a walk through Florence's center to see the Duomo, Piazza della Signoria, and Ponte Vecchio. The evening is free for exploring on your own.

Tuscany & Chianti
Leave Florence and drive into Tuscany through rolling hills covered in vineyards and olive groves, with your guide explaining the region's wine traditions along the way. You'll visit a local winery to see how they make wine and taste Chianti while taking in countryside views. In the afternoon, continue to San Gimignano, a medieval hilltop town with famous towers and UNESCO status. Explore the narrow streets and artisan shops before heading back to Florence in the evening.

Pisa & Cinque Terre
Take a train to Pisa first, where you'll have time to see the Leaning Tower, Cathedral, and Baptistery in Piazza dei Miracoli. Then continue to the Ligurian coast and Cinque Terre, a UNESCO site with colorful cliff-side villages like Riomaggiore, Vernazzo, and Manarola. You can stroll narrow lanes, shop around, walk scenic coastal trails, or try fresh seafood and local wine. You'll return to Florence in the evening.

Florence
Florence is yours to explore freely today. If you're into art, head to the Uffizi Gallery to see works by Botticelli and Leonardo, or check out Michelangelo's David at the Accademia. You could browse the markets for handcrafted leather goods, or simply sit at a café with a view of the Duomo and watch the city go by.

Florence to Venice
You'll depart Florence for Venice by high-speed train, taking just a few hours. Once there, drop your luggage at your accommodation and then meet your tour leader for an afternoon orientation walk through Venice's canals and alleyways. During the walk, you'll see St. Mark's Basilica, the Doge's Palace, and Rialto Bridge while learning about the city's history and Venetian carnival masks.

Venice
Your trip ends today. Check out before 10:00am, though you can leave luggage at reception if needed. Take a final walk through Venice's streets, have one last espresso by the canals, or return to favorite spots. If time allows, you have the option to join a boat tour to nearby islands, visiting Murano for glassmaking, Burano for its colorful houses, or Torcello for history.
